Thanks for all the pixie dust Kim and Ness! That, and the power of a 14 year old's prayers, worked! Never underestimate a kid!
I woke Matthew up and he heard the rain and he looked so sad. We discussed some other fun options but he said no, just wait, it'll clear up. It cleared up around 10:15 and we told him if it stayed clear for a half an hour we would go. It stayed clear and we went. We got out on the lake at 12:15 and around 1 it started to rain again, but no thunder or lightening so we stayed out. It would rain a little and then clear up beautifully, then cloud up some more. The boys all got to ride the tube twice - Matthew's the only one of the boys that had done that before and that was with a friend's family, not us, so it was newfamily experience! Even A.J. did it. (And so did I!)
At about 2:30 we headed back to the marina - I told them I wanted to go in before it rained again because we were at a point of having some really good memories! We unloaded, paid for the rental and left. Within 15 minutes the sky opened up and it POURED, along with lots of thunder and lightening. We told Matthew that God must have really wanted him to be able to go today!
I'll post some pics later!
