What are cheese curds and baked betty?
What are midwest staples?
Steak, Potatoes, Ribs, Beans, Corn, Milk, Butter, Bacon, Barbeque, Pulled Pork, Keilbasa, Okie Beans...basically not Taco Sunomono (Octobus Salad), Ama Ebi (Raw Shrimp Sushi-the shrimp bodies, the heads are later served tempura style), Uni (Sea Urchin), Spider Roll (Soft Shell Crab), Unagi or Anago (both Eel fresh and seawater), Shark's fin anything (Soup, stir fry, etc). I don't eat like the normal person who lives in say St. Louis, or Cleveland.
But you get to hang out with me some more....![]()
You can talk about stuff.

Cheese curds are something that is removed in the processing of cheese, I'm not exactly sure, but someone from Wisconsin overnighted me some once and they were absolutely delectable! Very creamy, cheesey and sort of the essence of all things cheese without the solid consistency, they are very mushy and shaped like blobs, but if you every have the chance to try them if you love cheese you will love the curds.
Fran says Baked Betty is a cobblerish thingy with fruit and baked toppings. Her dad is from Oklahoma too, but she never visited back there. Oh yeah,
Ham & Hominy is another big Midwest staple!
Oh yes that makes it far better than the other games.

You eat like me. I love Ungagi, soft shell crab...but I stay clear of shark fin now....not good for the sharks nor the enviornment.
I like hanging with you all!!
I agree, I reduced seafood intake a long time ago, because of some nations needing to import fish, I knew that it obviously wasn't a sustainable food source. I read an article that was published by the Monterey Bay Aquarium and now I barely eat fish because even farmed fish is a poor alternative.

A few years ago some guy who has a food booth at the fair made a chicken sandwich using a krispy kreme doughnut as a bun.
I'm lucky to be living in Oz. We have a good variety of food. If you still have that article or a link to it, I'd be interested to read it.
Did we turn the page again???![]()

And Janet E books are all "numbered" One for the Road, Two for the Dough, Three to get Ready etc. I think we just finished Sixteen. Seventeen is out soon.
