Very nice! What is the first pic of?

Ah....the joy of photos...and the joy of technical talk are 2 different things...

No technical talk

Don't I recall you making a comment to Alison when she wanted to get us back on track?

Usnuz and I are just chatting.....;)

....and you could always go hang out on......

.....that TR you're NOT writing.....:lmao: :lmao:

Hey - at least I'm not bugging you about it on the Aussie board!!!

:rotfl2:

I'm uploading some photos from my 'bear' encounter.
I will put some random bits on the TR I think. I basically got stuck in Chicago. It is quite a task going through the stuff I did there. So I just stopped.
So I'll skip to Yellowstone and put some random 'encounters' and highlights I think?? Sound like a plan??
No promises...but that is the new plan :teeth:

Being October the bear jams weren't too bad. This encounter was a side of the road one. Our second bear encounter. A baby black bear.
We followed the guidelines and stopped on the other side of the road and didn't approach too close. Or course baby bear had other plans and was looking for mum. I was keeping an eye out for mum too!!!
All was going fine...
He was over there...

Then...
he decided to cross the road...

towards me....

most specifically me....

I backed away towards the car calmly but being a baby he doesn't walk in a straight line. He wandered and then bolted. I was about 6ft away at his closest. Something like that.

Our first bear encounter was a great experience. He was up near the petrified tree and there is a fairly large pullout up there. He had STARTED down the bottom of the road so people were all parked along the road. We were aiming for the tree so drove to the top.
Gradually he moved his way up and Mr Ranger was on scene. We asked him if we could park and watch in the pullout and we did. We had a clear shot and it was wonderful watching him. (The bear not the ranger)

Your shots are wonderful Queenie and the other Aussies deserve to see them too.

I know we're on the DisNEY Boards....but pictures like Yellowstone and that gorgeous bear might encourage some of them to think outside the LA/LV/NY/Orlando circuit.

Which is probably a good stimulus for me to go dig out my pictures from 2007 of SF, Toronto/Niagara, Quebec City, Montreal, Boston, Kennebunkport and Anaheim.

Anyone else up for another one of my TRs??? :lmao:
(I think I've got about another 6 weeks before I officially close out the year to when I first started my first TR....this one would make it four in a year! :lmao:)

Except the photographs won't be mine - they will be DH's.

hmmmm....on second thoughts.....maybe NOT!

ME WANT TRIP REPORT FROM YOU!!!!! :cool1:

We know you can do it :cheer2::cheer2:

I've never been to Toronto/Niagara, Quebec City, Montreal, Boston :rolleyes1

You can use DH's photos. We don't mind :thumbsup2:

Posted Mr Bear on my resurrected TR.
Of course it might not get updated again for another couple months....teehee ;)

It doesn't really fit in any section of the DisBoard....:scratchin:.......and I don't just want to write it only for the Anzacs......I've managed to get to about 15,000 hits for each TR in the 2 months it takes me to write the TRs and I'm hoping to crack 20,000 hits......I might get there if I take longer to write them...:rolleyes1

It's all about hits???
Every hit from an Aussie should count for 500. We're special :teeth:
And as you say...selling these places to them I think is important. Disney free trips are sad, but there is so much of the US and Canada to see.
The tackiness of Niagara is a shame. But the falls are wonderful.
I adored Montreal even at -30 wind chill.....brrrrrr...

I couldn't put together a TR because it was back in 03. I have enough trouble remembering the order I did things in Feb.
But if you could pull one together it would be good :thumbsup2

Social networking is all about popularity! :thumbsup2

I'll think about it. I need to go check out the pictures and see whether I can tell a story or not. Half the time when I'm taking a shot, I already have a story forming in my mind.

Because DH took the pictures, it might be hard for me to string any sentences together and I do have some standards to maintain......

And because DH took the pictures, there won't be any food porn.
Not sure I could survive writing a TR without food!

I understand...that was part of my problem with Feb. Not being the photographer.
You'll notice HK was much more cohesive in story I think. Although 'experience' wise both were reasonable. It's not as much fun doing Disney on your own so that aspect made up for Paris.
But the quality of the photos in Paris is very good. And for a change there are ones of me without red eye or blurry.

Have a look though. We do have high expectations ;) at LAST

Psssst - social networking is called facebook
