What a day.

The news that is coming in on my MIL is not good. They are supposed to do the surgery tomorrow but I think they already know what they are going to find. I honestly believe the Dr's think it is cancer of the pancreas. Which is not good. Hopefully they are wrong and we will know something more tomorrow.

On top of all of that going on I will be busy with the 3-day this weekend while DH is trying to deal with his family stuff. I know he is going to feel torn about where to be.

I am trying to get things in line for the 3-day, and I receive an e-mail from a friend that was supposed to come up and hit the cheering stations and take me back and forth to the hotel at night. Well she is now not able to come and do that. :guilty:

So all this time I was not prepared to stay at camp and I might end up there which means I need to scramble and get all that stuff in order.

Kind of puts me in the dumps right now.

I got a nice phone call-looks like I get to go interview fro the job at the Children's ER,and it's the location/hospital closer to my home(a newer and cleaner one!)

most likely since I'm familiar with all the charting and systems at Children's already and will only need 2 days of orientation-not 5 I will be getting this job!!!!!!

:yay: :yay: :yay: When is your interview??

Since my contract ends on Oct 26th and I haven't heard from any new job openings from them( the co I'm contracting with)-I was getting a bit worried

-This Lady(from Childrens) said she wants to get me interviewed next week and starting right after the weekend my contract ends-that will be a nice smooth transition and a nice long weekend for me to get organized!!! Maybe even head up to DSIL and help her out!!!

Man I can't wait to get going and into my real job-the benifits are great and they offer double time for extra shifts :Pinkbounc (not like my other job in WI that only offered time and a 1/4)

plus I need to take out the health and dental since DH only is currently working PT til a FT position opens up and his insurance costs a small fortune!!!

Okay, never mind! :teeth: This post just answered my question!

Oh Kelli! I'm so sorry! :grouphug:

Thank you everyone.

We went to visit with my MIL in the hospital tonight and took DD with us. DH wanted to make sure she got a chance to spend sometime with her. He regrets that when he was a kid he was not allowed to see his own Grandmother in her final days. And also we don't know what tomorrow will bring. We have always been very up front with DD about life and death especially with everything that has gone on with my Mom in the past.

My MIL look pretty good which seems strange to me. My FIL started right off the bat tonight with he doesn't feel the Dr's are doing what they should and that he thinks they are getting a bad deal. Well of course I had to set him straight. Drives me nuts. She is right there in bed and I don't care what the heck you feel you put on a front for her sake. So basically I told him with everything I have had to go thru with both of my Parents in and out of hospitals You have to put your faith in the hands of the Dr's. And in my heart I know they are going to do what is best for MIL no matter what it seems like to you and me.

I guess they are going to try the very last thing that they can. Tomorrow to my understanding they will go in thru the liver and try and do something - not sure what exactly but she will have to have some kind of bag on the outside of her body.

Maybe Kim can explain it better thant I can.

DH told me tonight that he talked with his Mom alone last night and she said she is okay with whatever happens and it is God's Will.

DH and I are holding strong but tonight was very hard for DD. She cried so hard it broke my heart. She loves her Grandmother so much and doesn't understand how she was fine in her eyes just last week. I can't stand to see her hurting.

I am so not ready for this.

Lyn as of now I am still planning to walk. We are going to play it by ear as things play out in the next couple of days. And for the most part I will not be more than 30 miles away from home during the walk. Close enough for someone to come and get me if needed.

I made a committment to walk and I am sure my MIL would want me to do it for my SIL and my Aunt.

Oh, Kelli - I am so sorry! I wish I was there and could just give you a hug in person! Please know that we're here for you.

Got to head to bed. My feet have gotten so bad this past week that the only way I can get to sleep is with Tylenol PM...and it has kicked in!

See you in the a.m.

Kelli - Your MIL and your family are in my thoughts and prayers! :grouphug:

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: Hopefully things will get better tomorrow...and about the walk, you do what you feel is right in your heart :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: and about DD, I am so sorry. We went through that with DS...I won't go into the details, but I can really sympathize with you...extra hugs :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

I am so sorry for the pain you and your little one is going through!!

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

If you need anything please let me know

Kelli-Sorry to hear this -I think the bag you mentioned is a bag to help drain the bile and they place a stint to do this thru the common bile duct-it's a duct that the liver, gallbadder and pancrease all drain into-My Dad had a huge blocked duct and it scared us all,we thought he was having a heart attack since the pain was so bad,it took the Dr's 3 weeks to be able to clear the blockage-and 3 surgies each time they tryed

wish it would be this way for your MIL,lets hope they have something else they can do for her and give her some relief-my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family-give Ash a big hug for all of us
