I can't say thanks enough to all of you for your support for us through this!!

As you all have been telling me the last few weeks
that is what we are here for

I talked to my Dad this AM
they met with the Funeral home place and
have it all set some family are MAD cause no wake
but that is how DGF wanted it

just a church service
cemetary and
reception

he wanted us to celebrate his life not
dwell on his death

seems weird to be doing it while he is stilll here though

It will be much easier to have it all lined up when you actually need it. Right now your mom still has the presence of mind to remember what he wants and handle it that way. Once he passes, no matter how prepared you all think you are, it's going to be such a hard time. And it will make it so much easier not to have to deal with the funeral arrangements at that time.

And don't worry about what some of the family wants, or if they're mad. It's all about your grandfather, not them!

Yup and I know how hard it is on him
his Dad died almost 3 years ago so the memeories are still fresh

and DH's grandfathers died when he was a kid
so after 18 years with my family DGF is his Grandfather
but he is being so strong for all of us
and very protective of DGF and his wishes

You are very lucky that he is the way that he is!

I'm officially puting down our down payment today for our Feb vacation We're going with the Bunk beds and the kids are already fighting with who gets the top bunk

Now I have to decide if I book it thru Dreams Unlimited vs. Disney Vacation Website -anyone have any suggestions,they both are offering the same deal and price so it's a horse a piece I guess
