I finally got all the food downstairs, cleaned out both fridges, and we unplugged the upstairs fridge. Note the "we!" DH helped with the decision to unplug it!

Hey...I have n idea for you.....you know next time you have control of a fully charged line..........it's just a 'little' water....can't hurt, right????

The Poutine.... now that kinda creeped me out a bit.


It sounds good, but the cheese curd looks like something they'd make you eat on Fear Factor.

Grits -
Usually a breakfast item in the US Southern region. Made from the kernel of corn. When corn has been soaked in lye and the casing has been removed it becomes Hominy. The lye is rinsed out very well and the corn is left to harden. Then the swollen hominy is ground up to the texture of tiny pellets. When boiled with water, milk and butter it becomes a cereal similar to cream of wheat. It's used as a side dish for a good old fashioned Southern breakfast

In the 'Great White North' we're on the verge of breaking a heat record that's stood for 51yrs!! 36.7 deg. , 47 deg. with the humidex

= approx 111 deg. at 11:15am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My DH just phoned to tell me that Chicago is in a black out??? Buy some water, fill up on gas, break out the candles...just in case we have another MAJOR one like 2 or 3 years ago!! Remember that??

Back to the pool for me!!
