very cute I remember when my little ones were that small and you could hold them and rock them and love them...of course, I also remember being very exhausted and too busy to take a shower Then yesterday DS tells me that he is growing bigger and bigger and one day he is going to be so big he can carry me and take care of me when I am sick This works so nicely into my evil plan of brainwashing the child into always living near me .

ETA: I don't expect my children to care for my when I am elderly But, I do hope they don't move far away from me

I didn't use it...after our supppppeeeerrrrrr looooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnngggggggg flight, we had a car pick us up and take us straight to the hotel....plus, I pack so much stuff it is hard to get around...just my kitchen sink takes up so much space.

I'm back. I was on the phone with Nana. She called to tell us that Grandpa is not doing very well. He's gone down drastically in the past two weeks. He has almost no feeling in his face, needs help going to the bathroom, drags his right leg, slurs his speech. But she said he knows what is going on and his mind seems to be working fine.

No, actually I think I was more talking to myself!

I did post about our "nana" and "grandpa." They're not my kids real grandparents but they are the closest to grandparents that my kids have ever had. (My parents and my husbands parents are gone so my kids don't have "real" grandparents.) Anyway, "Grandpa" has brain cancer and he is not doing well right now. It's very hard on us.

Are you writing that for school or just 'cause you like to write? My DD has always loved to write stories.

i don't know anybody that has cancer but i wish i could connect to you in some way or another...
i haven't written much of my story cuz i haven't been able to get on the comp cuz my mom works on here...

Unfortunately right now we have three people close to our family that have cancer. Grandpa is one, a friend of my son's is another (he's only 12) and the daughter of a friend of mine (she's 16) is another. She has lukemia.

I work on the computer doing ebay, too, so my kids used to have to battle me for their time on the computer. But DH bought me a laptop for Christmas so that there is more peace around here!
