Help, y'all - my husband has so much anxiety about Disney crowds that he can't even discuss it, his job is just to show up and not have a panic attack, but I need advice! We are headed to WDW on Feb 20th until the 22nd. It's a last minute trip so ADRs and FPs are very hard to come by. It'll be me, husband, our 4 year old daughter and 5.5. year old son.
My daughter is in LOVE with Rapunzel, so all things Rapunzel are on our "must do" list. My crowd-hating husband really enjoys Epcot quite a bit, so that's also high on our list. My plan originally was to head to Epcot on arrival day since we'll get there around 11-12 - hit whichever rides we can get same-day FP for, check out the Agent P game and Japanese snowcones (I forget their official name) in the world showcase and generally meander a bit. Then do MK on the 21st - I've got FP for Rapunzel and Minnie and I'm hoping I can somehow get either a Mine Train FP or a BOG PPO res for my son. Ride all the things in the morning (we can usually get Astro Orbiter, Buzz, Dumbo, Tea Cups, Barnstormer and Ariel done in the first 90 minutes or so after rope drop). Then on the 22nd do the Bon Voyage breakfast at BWI before driving home (no park).
One of the park days I'd like to check out the Polynesian and get husband a Dole Whip there, maybe for the fireworks viewing for MK? Meandering in general is more pleasant for everyone in the family, so focusing on things like that this trip.
BUT: I just found a Bon Voyage breakfast ADR for the 20th (arrival day) at 12 which is doable, but wouldn't put us into a park until 2 most likely, and cuts into a big chunk of one of only two park days, and means on the 22nd we'd just get up and probably head home. Keep it and re-work the plan or keep refreshing this silly thing for a 22nd res?
We live in Atlanta and my mom lives about 90 minutes from WDW so we are able to go 1-2x/year for a couple of days, so nothing is a be-all, end-all - if we don't get it this time, we'll plan better next time - but what would you do?
