Last Minute Travel for tickets?

Good Morning,

I am not sure if this has been answered already, but can someone that has used LMT for tickets please tell me what the value is that is printed on the tickets you get at the gate?

My family is looking to upgrade to AP.

Any info would be helpful. Thanks!!!

I don't think there's a value actually printed on the tickets. But it's encoded so that when you upgrade to an AP, Disney knows what LMT paid for it, and that's what will be credited towards the AP. Someone here please correct me if I'm wrong.

I think it's possible that LMT paid less for the ticket than they're charging you, so you could end up paying more for the AP than if you just purchased it directly from Disney. (It just makes sense to me that LMT pays less to Disney than they're charging you for the ticket...)

At Disneyworld, you can keep your discount savings when upgrading to an AP, but that's not the case at Disneyland! So, the only incentive to first purchase a park-hopper and then upgrade to AP is if there's a blackout day during your first visit or you want to get the MM on your first visit. You're eventually going to end up paying full-price for the AP at DL.

I"m intrigued by this company, and apparently it would save us $100+ overall, ($158 each) but I'm just not comfortable with the unknown...are they the same exact tickets as we would pay for the "buy 3, get 2 free" through disney.com which is for $184 each? Our kids are teens, so they don't pay the kids price (sigh) the thing that might make our admission cheaper if I book through disney.com is that I have a $51 Disney rewards card, not sure if they would allow us to use it for admission tickets though (does anyone know this?)

You can use Disney reward dollars towards a ticket but if LMT is cheaper overall, I would buy from them and use the reward dollars towards food or souvenirs.

Just got back from Disneyland! Here is my LMT report-
When we went on the first day, I went to the ticket booth to exchange my voucher for tickets. The lady was very friendly- no problems- I got my 5 tickets.

The next morning, I went to the ticket booth to exchange my dining voucher for breakfast that morning. The CM had most likely not had a voucher like this and did not know what to do. She asked someone else who then found the number on the voucher she was looking for. This did take several minutes. When they found it, she highlighted the number, entered it in the computer, and out came our tickets.
If I was doing this again, I would highlight the number myself before giving it to them.
Great experience overall, especially with the money we saved.

This is not usually the case with travel agents. Disney pays them their comission off the regular price, so that it is the same whether you order from Disney or a travel agent. So in other words when ordering from a travel agent the ticket price does not change for the customer, but 10% goes to the travel agent and the rest to Disney. The customer is credited the full purchase price towards any upgrades.

Thanks for getting back to us and sharing your experience. Glad everything worked out. These tickets are great and have saved people a lot of money :)

Just got back from disneyland using lmt. Getting my disneyland tickets was a breeze. I brought my voucher that was emailed to me up to customer service and received my tickets right away with no problems. As far as character dining goes that was a complete nightmare!! LMT did not email me a separate voucher, I called and talked with someone and they said I didn't need one for that just my receipt. Well customer service at DL disagreed. The whole thing took 30-40 minutes of waiting while they decided what to do and also on the phone with LMT. They finally faxed something over only to end up being the exact same thing I had. I would not do this again just to save a couple of bucks on the character dining, but I did save quite a bit on the entry tickets and everything there worked out fine.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I have not yet purchased the Meal Vouchers, but I did call LMT to ask how it works and I was told to just take my reciept directly to the restaurant. I was told there was no actual voucher, I just needed the receipt. Now I'm skeptical of this and thought I would call back to ask again the process to see if I get the same answer.
Like I said, this company does not have very streamlined processes, but the savings is great, hopefully some of these little issues will get fixed soon!

Unless they tell you they will send you a voucher I wouldn't do it. It was such a headache!! I wasted 30+ minutes dealing with this when I could be having fun at DL. The Customer service people at DLR said they needed a voucher. But like I said the entry tickets were easy to get and the savings were great!

My understanding is that they are not the same. I called LMT because I wanted to know the same thing. These are not 5 for 3 PH's, instead, they are straightforward 5 day PH's. I know the end result is the same, but they are two separate types of tix....at least as far as I've been led to understand.

The prices are GREAT, though, and now that some additional positive responses are coming in, I'm really leaning towards purchasing my tix through LMT. I have to buy 10 PH's, and their prices will save me $200!!!

So sorry! I only had the receipt, as well. There is actually a number on it that the CM can enter, but just like my experience they can not easily find it. Once they did, it was in their system and the tickets were given to me. It seems like Disney would not allow a company to do things differently than the CM's are trained.:confused3
Maybe with all of us using LMT, the CM's will now learn how or LMT will change their system to be inline with Disney's.
I love saving a buck, so I would not hesitate to use LMT for meal or park tickets.

I have never used vouchers for character dining before, but we are seriously considering using the LMT because of the savings. I have a couple of questions for you that have experience with this though:
1. Does the price for the LMT dining vouchers include tax and gratuity?
2. Where do you go to exchange the voucher/receipt for the meal?

There are six of us, so the savings per ticket is significant, but I think it will only be worth it if the t&g is included. :goodvibes

1. Yes:thumbsup2
2. At the ticket booths, same as the park tickets.

Thank you GinCar! with the tax and gratuity included, that is such a big savings!!! :cool1:

Do you still need to call Disney dining for the "reservation" or is LMT doing it for you with the vouchers?

Do you still need to call Disney dining for the "reservation" or is LMT doing it for you with the vouchers?

My dining was for breakfast, so I wanted to make sure I got the reservation time I wanted. I called and made the reservation without knowing that LMT will call with the time and place you enter as your preferences.
So, I received a call from LMT a couple of days after I purchased the voucher telling me that I already HAD a reservation, so LMT was confused.:confused3
I told them I had already called to get the time I wanted. LMT then called Disney to cancel my original and replace with their reservation. (Is this clear as mud?)
Anyway, the short answer is- LMT is supposed to call with your preferred times and/or places to get your reservation for you. Since I am a pretty anal planner, and this company seems new in this area-I would call to double check the time and place.

HTH and is not too confusing!:goodvibes

Hello,
I was wondering whether anyone has booked a Greyline Universal Studios tour (or other similar tour) through LMT, and if so, did everything work out okay? Did Greyline still pick you up at your hotel? Did you receive a voucher or something by email or snail mail that you gave to the Greyline bus driver on the day of your tour?
Thanks!

Question about the LMT 5-day park hoppers . . . Does your first day begin when you exchange the voucher at Guest Services, or does it begin when you go thru the turnstyle into the park? I'm asking because we arrive at the Resort on a Sunday afternoon, but we are not actually entering the parks until Monday morning. I'd rather walk over and exchange the vouchers on Sunday rather than wait until Monday when we will be so anxious to get into the park. I know some of you said it's only a 5-minute process, but 5 minutes in the morning can make a HUGE difference in some of the popular ride lines . . . plus I'm still a little nervous that I might get a CM who's unfamiliar with the vouchers and 5 minutes could turn into 30 minutes. Yikes!

Thanks!:)

I did the exact same thing. Arrived on Sunday but my first park day wasn't until monday. You can get your tickets just fine on sunday and I would recommend in case like you said you get someone who doesn't know what they are doing. Then you will be all ready to hit the parks on Monday with no hassles! Your first day starts when they are scanned at the entry to the park, not when you pick them up.

Awesome, thank you! Just trying to avoid a first morning "panic" as everyone dashes past us to Indiana Jones. Thanks!!:)

Thank you! I am not sure what I am going to do, I may just use my Chase rewards points
