Last minute inventory at VWL need advice

Hi.

We're going to VWL next week and are staying in a studio. I tried to switch to a one bedroom but one night is not available with points. Other than pay cash for that one night (which is available for cash- no discount) or move mid week are there any alternatives? Can I call the resort directly? Do they ever move cash inventory to points inventory within a week of the reservation? Anyone encountered a similar situation?

but I can tell you that moving is sooo easy.....and sooooooooo worth it if you're going to a 1bdr.

I don't think moving is all that easy myself... but, call right up until your day of departure to see if the availability has come through!

Hi.

Problem solved. I called again and "Rocky" said, "Please hold, let me see what I can do for you". He switched us to a one bedroom for the whole trip. I asked how he did it. He said, "things change every day". It was helpful for me to know that the one bedroom was available all along, just some of it was in the "cash" inventory.
