***Offical August 2025 Thread***

Hello! Just found this thread, nice to meet everyone!

We (my husband, 10 year old son, and I) just finished a short President’s Day weekend trip at French Quarter. We had so much fun that we decided to book another short trip, from 8/12 to 8/16, using our Bounceback offer. The BB rates were so great that we were able to book the Polynesian, and I’m so excited to stay there again!

I’m waiting for Halloween party dates before we plan much more, but I know we’ll book the California Grill one night to celebrate my 50th birthday in early September. Overall, I’ve never traveled to WDW in August before, so I’m looking forward to everyone’s advice!

Welcome everyone! I will get the list updated soon but until then look what is on the Disney Visa Reward site. Possbily more free dining dates coming soon or other discounts?

As of now - 8/9-18 at Saratoga Springs. We're on the waitlist for both Riviera and Boulder Ridge.

Dates may change slightly, but we're all looking forward to Moonlight Magic at Typhoon Lagoon on 8/11!

Thanks! I actually saw that you posted it in the summer offer thread.
I think I’m going to stick with the offer we scored a while back. It was a stay more discount that was recently changed to end on July 31. We grabbed it when it 1st came out..

We used to love free dining and had it for many trips. As we got older though we have started to not eat as much and especially with the August heat. If it was the only discount out there I would for sure grab it but right now we are booked under a bounceback. I did run the numbers and for where we are staying and how much it would cost to upgrade to the regular dining it doesn't make sense. Now if we would change from POP to All Stars I would probably do it then because it would save us in the end, but we LOVE Pop and have a hard time staying anywhere else.

I'm hoping after March 26th it opens to all resort guests but we will see. It seems to be worded that way. We would be able to take advantage of it because as of right now, we have everything booked at full price as we didn't qualify for any discounts so far. 😞 It would make my life easier. LOL!

We have the quick service booked but with my DH along and wanting a few different table services, we have been wondering if it would just be better to go with it. It was on one hand, we know we will probably pay more on the other hand, having it prepaid with DH along will make things go a lot smoother. If I can get one free, that is an obvious choice.

Debating the visa dining option. We’d have to switch hotels (YC to boardwalk) and would lose our bounce back…trying to figure out if it would be worth it. We’d are planning on 3-4 table service meals but not one every day of our trip so not sure.
General dining plan question can you get a kids quick service meal “charged” to an adult dining plan? Age wise we are 4 Disney adults and 1 child but when we get quick service 4 order kids meals and 1 gets adult…

Realized I never mentioned our dates 08/9-08/16 at yatch

I don't think you can. From my understanding, it would just take them *all* from the child allotment. So, if you have say 14 kids meal allotments & 14 adult meals. Your order would end up taking 4 kids meal & 1 adult meal from your plan, leaving you with 10 kids meals & 13 adult meals.

I think there is a thread in dining plan thread in the dining forum that might help you out more on this since I'm definitely no expert. LOL!

I'm excited about the new deal as it looks like I might get free dining. I'm also excited to see it looks like The Little Mermaid & the Villians shows will be open.

I just read that Buzz Lightyear in MK is going under refurb starting in August but don't know exact dates.

I'm also anxiously awaiting to find out when the new nighttime parade in MK will be showing up.

I was able to get the free dining offer! Hurray! It not only saved us money but it upgraded us to the regular dining plan. My husband's first question after I told him was "does this mean I can get steak?" LOL! It's all about the food for him.

Disappointed. There are lots of Allstars rooms available, but none for free dining, at least in October November.

Can you add me, please!? We're doing a split stay that starts in July, but on August 1st we switch resorts, so if you could add:

08/01/25 - 08/09/25 - KSL - BWV

Thanks! Now I'll go through and read the four pages of posts....!!
