Last minute change room type!

I probably already know the answer but, we have had booked for quite some time at pop. We might have to change and arrive 2 days later than planned. I won’t know till day before. Anyone know if we will be able to keep our room type we paid for and they just move our arrival back 2 days? Looking now as if I was going to book it appears that room type isn’t available.

Yes I did check . Just was hoping they would just leave us there even though I know better.

Are you also adding days at the end, or just dropping from the start? Are you willing to pay for the nights you won’t be there?

If it were me, depending on the rate, I might contact them when you know your plans and let them know you will be checking in late, but want to keep the reservation as is and pay for all the nights. If you just don’t show up, they would consider you a no show and likely give your room to someone else. I would only consider this if I was keeping the original check out date though.

It depends on how important the stay is. You might be able to find a room elsewhere on property for the new dates, but it could be substantially more expensive than what you already booked.

If you need to modify, all you can do is call and ask. The phone CM may need to get guest services involved (and they can sometimes work miracles). No guarantees, but they will try to help. If they can't, you may need to consider a new resort/room category.
