Well, laying in a hospital bed after a car wreck Friday night. Lucky and grateful to be alive. My leg looks like an erector set from surgery today.

I am not going to be able to go on my planned trip of this Wednesday thru Saturday.

Forgive me bc I still have some anesthesia running thru me, but anyone have any recommendations (details removed)

Just fire sale on a Disboard forum? I shattered one leg and broke the other one. Happy to be alive, but probably not going to comfortably travel for a few months.

Also have some Southwest tickets and I figure just getting the travel credit is fine for that.

And no, didn't have travel insurance for this trip. Usually just get that for certain flights and cruises.

Any advice appreciated

I’m so sorry this happened to you and am glad that you’re alive! I hope you recover quickly and can get back to disney soon.

Just call MS and they will take care of your points. In a situation like this they are very helpful with returning even borrowed points and letting you bank points past the deadline.

Glad you are okay (alive). Frightening.
If MS can’t help, you can contact the resale companies...we had unexpected points that came with a resale contract that had to be used within 30 days. The resale place was able to rent them as a “fire sale” to a couple that lived close to Disney for a last minute trip.

I am sorry to hear about your accident. The first thing I would do is contact MS. They may be generous and at least waive holding status for you. Then you can salvage some of the points.

You can certainly try and rent what you have but being it’s already Sunday night, you only have a day or so to get it rented and MS is closed tomorrow which means you couldn’t even get the name chanted until Tuesday.
