Last Friday night's Ghost Whisperer

I have a question. I always record Ghost Whisperer on my DVR. Friday night, it cut off the last little part. It made it throught the part where she went down into the basement and found the stalker. Then it cut off.

What happened??? I don't remember the ghost going into the light, so I'm guessing she was a part of the ending. Can somebody clear this up for me?

It just showed him about to go after her then a pair of arms (looked male though) came out of the brick wall and grabbed him through it.

Did the arms kill him, or what happened?

Maybe the girl did go into the light, and I just forgot.

They never made it clear what happened and it was never mentioned in the next episode, nor did that happen in ANY episode after that, to explain why. I'm figuring they simply copied what happened in the movie Ghost, when the dark shadows came out & grabbed spirits they considered should be with them.

I did not watch it this week...so I am trying to remember from when I first saw the episode....

I interpreted the arms grabbing him as him going down to "he double hockey sticks"..... ( at the time it reminded me of the shadows ..dragging evil folks down in the movie GHost)

I don' t think the girl crossed over....I expect her to return in a future show....

I think the arms coming out of the wall are tied in to the underground mystery that she later solved.

Thanks for the input. I googled Ghost Whisperer and found a message board related to it (didn't even know there was one ), and found a post about this on it. Someone had posted the same question I did (for the same reason). Below is part of one of the responses they got.

It was actually the 2nd time I watched it. But the first time though, the ending freaked me out. Though I had a feeling Shane would show up in ghostly form, it was the way Mel said "Shane's dead isn't he?" to Jim on the cell that gave me goosebumps/shivers. And when those ghosts pulled Shane into the wall....Oh my...It made me gasped "OMG!"

Now, I'm really confused, because I don't remember Mel saying anything about Shane being dead. In fact, I thought she told somebody that Jim had said he was probably somewhere laying low (at which point it did cross my mind that he might have killed himself).

Your DVR must have cutoff just before Jim's call to Mel, to tell her that Shane was dead. She knew he was, as she saw seeing his ghost there in the basement during the phone call.

Okay, now it makes more sense!

That's a pretty good way to end it, since he could really do some serious stalking if he were dead (if the others hadn't gotten him first, of course).

Just want to pipe in to say that my dvr always seems to cut off the very end of Ghost Whisperer. I don't know if the show runs a little late or what but it's real annoying. I even called my cable co. to see if I can change the time on my box but they said "nope".

This is the first time that I've noticed mine cutting it off, but I'll pay closer attention from now on. I know that I generally know how it ends, but this time, I didn't have a clue.

In the newspaper they listed shows with different explanations of how they will be effected by the writers' strike being over. Example: Heroes coming back Fall 08. Some coming back in 8 weeks. There was no listing of Ghost Whisperer. Did anyone hear an update for new episodes?
