Finally continuing this PJ:
Monday was PS day and I kept my hair for it!. I just took out the bobby pins and let the curls do their thing!

We ran through the wedding step by step. For transportation We got a limo that will take the boys, loop back for the girls, and my parents and I ride in Rolls. Eric and I get the Rolls on our way back. Our parents get the limo along with my brother and his niece, The rest of the bridal party rides the motorcoach with the guests. I really wanted the model A but Eric insisted on air conditioning nad now looking at the BEO $900 for a car is a bit much so we might not even keep it.
We decided on a Welcome party at Shipwreck Beach! I'm super excited for that. We have the chip and dale menu for that and these will be the linens for that

Then we moved on to the decor for the reception. I toyed with the idea of 2 layer linens until I found out the price
I was going to so the lighter green line with the Champagne pixie dust over lay but it ended up being like $50/table. So we settled on this
The ivory with gold diamonds is going to be the table cloth the plain ivory is the chair cover and the green satin is the napkin and chair sash.
We discussed Mickey& Minnie as well. I said it would be cool but its out of the budget. She asked me if I wanted to put it on the beo just to see, I said yes and Dad jumped in and said "keep it, I got it" I was shocked but thrilled...I'm not counting on it though cause he's gotta get that one past mom and that's not going to be easy
And of course we did the cake tasting
we setteled on

Almond/Amaretto

for the top and bottom layers and the middle layer will be Marble/Chocolate!
We discussed the feel that I was going for for centerpieces and she said she would do research. I just got that proposal today. I'll talk about those later.
So we wandered resorts until our tasting at the beach club.
We found all the hidden mickeys on the chocolate carousel in the beach club lobby.

lol
My favorite picture of me from the trip lol. I also absolutely love this tree!
We checked out Martha's Vineyard
And Ariel's was open for some reason
Dad was impressed
Then there was our tasting!
THe menu
the butter!
Pre reception food; Bacon Wrapped Beef & Blues! LOVE THEM and spring rolls
We're also having bruschetta but we didn't decide that until we Talked to Chef Carlos. Who by the way, is awesome! I can't explain how relieved I am to have met the person cooking my food that day. Being in the restaurant industry and just a general foodie, the food was very very important to me. I think I would trust him to make awesome food even if he didn't make anything we tasted that day. That's how awesome it all was!
Ok back to food...
Lamb and sauteed baby zucchini and yukon gold mashed potatoes...we decided to have a potato bar !
SOOO GOOOD. and this is about the point where the food over took my brain and I forgot to take picture of the food before I ate it so all of the following pictures are an after thought. lol
ISland spiced Mahi mahi with a vanilla bean citrus beurre blanc and grilled baby veggies.
tiramisu
and the warm Banana torte with Rum glaze.
Absolutely AMAZING, Literally numbed my mouth! we added this for dessert at the welcome party!
The rest of the trip was pretty general. We did see Captain EO (Eric's first time)! and did all the walking treks at AK, which we never really did before but loved. And the only other thing of note was that we ate at La hacienda.
can I use the word amazing again? cause it was! especially this:
I still remember the name of the Margarita a month later! thats how good it was! It was the Mango Blueberry, Basil Margarita. It had Himalayan(sp?) Hibiscus salt on the rim and this was the first margarita that I've had that the salt complimented the drink, and I've had my fair share of margaritas!
