Lanyards

Can anyone tell me where I can find lanyards for pin trading?

seriously, martyp, they are all over wdw (if you are going there first), but also available on the ship. if you don't want to wait until on the ship to get lanyards, i'm going to wdw 2/21 for a wedding and would be happy to buy you some. email me privately, and we can work something out.

we are not going to wdw before the cruise. I was under the mistaken impression that they were not available on the ship. No problem I will just buy them when we board. Thanks

You can also buy them at Wal-Mart or just about any other store as long as you don't want DISNEY on it!

but i'm pretty sure that they were on the wonder when we were on it in november. my only complaint with they dcl lanyards is that they are of a lighter material and the edges (as they hang on your neck) are rough and scratch. they are nice, though, white with the dcl logo.

i have many (probably way too many, since i can't possibly use them all) lanyards i prefer more than the dcl ones (though i have several dcl lanyards....hmmm, i've probably got a good collection of lanyards going...maybe i should start trading them as well!). the best (disney) ones, imho, are ones they gave us at disneyana last year in california...they are much wider and allow you to wear 2-post pins without having to turn them sideways.

gosh...i think i just gave away that i'm into pin trading! anyone else planning on pin trading?

My ds-13 and dd-10 want to try and pin trade on the cruise. I am trying to collect some pins before we get to the ship. I found some at the disney store yesterday but they had the rubber backs do we need one's with the metal back. As you can tell we are new at this.

Rubber backs are fine, it is the pin itself that needs to be metal. In fact, you will find that most of the pins sold at WDW now have the rubber backs as they hold better.
