Lanyard lanyards everywhere, and me with not a pin to trade. The news is good pin people, it seems that Disney took all our old tired pins, and sent them to California, then they sent all of California's pins down here.
And our lovely lanyards that for months have been filled with flex garbage (Sorry Darlene) are now loaded with California goodies. Look at the pictures Y'all.
Those that are coming down are in for a treat, the cast members are happy, we are happy. The gene pool is getting stirred a bit and it doesn't feel like I'm trading the same ole pins again and again.
The picture show one night of pin trading 3 hours actually at Epcot ½ the park about 20 to 25 cast members. They are all so happy to have different stuff on their lanyards the ones that had quit are doing it again.
But this one goes out to Mr. And Mrs. Kmart you know who you are, the couple that bought 500 of those dancing 2000 pins at the Character Warehouse for 99cents, and were trading with cast members for good pins, then selling the good pins on ebay. Sorry Disney is on to you and every lanyard has at least 1 of those lovely dancing 2000 pins and they can't be used to trade.
This is why the two books at the Contemporary were removed. Someone would take pages of pins at a time and replace them with dancing 2000 pins.
Sorry I'm venting on to the pictures, and reports from the market place lanyards are just as good.
Correction Y'all
The LE Mickey Baseball pin came off of a Disney supertrader which is really still considered a cast member, but when they first appear for the little pin show they do, they usually have some really cool pins on their vests. I only traded that one, but he had the matching one to the set, as well as a couple of POM's.
The Ariel POM was an on the fly drive by lanyard trade from another pin trader. The rest were lanyards trades with cast. there seems to be a lot of Disney Quest pins all of the sudden... Cool!!!
