Throw a toy over it until you wife gets home and finds it...

The dog ate it. But we do love that game of pretending not to see dog **** and such. It keeps each of us on our toes. The kids haven't figured it out yet. They always announce their acknowledgement of dog poop and urine (our old dog is bad). I should invoke the rule "he who finds it cleans it".

You better hurry! As soon as hubby gets done saving the world (He's playing Risk on the computer, Lord help me) we're popping the cork(s). :dance3:

:scared: NO points, no points....do NOT say what you're thinking!!!

Those pesky kids. They're always announcing something that you were trying to hide!

Makes sense...unfortunately, my kids don't understand weekends yet.

I have to be a winner today...I can't walk through the family room. Only problem is that I'm out of trash bags, so I have to go to the grocery store first.

Oh, and they moved the smilies....I HATE when they do that.

You've gotta leave the house before you can clean the house? That sounds like waaaaaaaay too much work.

I've gotta get something done with my house, too. Hmm, isn't that what I always say?

Morning all, DS10 actaully asked to go to bed last night:scared1: and I quickly decided to do the same. (the smiley move is confusing)

Oh yeah I forgot tot ell you DH was horsing around with DS10 right before the big game and snapped his glasses in half, thank goodness we still have a spare pair(although they are on thier last leg) So now I have to get DS10 to an eye DR appt which I had been putting off until the heatlh insurance kicked in bc I know I have to change who I take him too.

So my to do list for this week just got longer.

They won!:cheer2: So I am the proud mama of a member of the WC Junior Basketball 9-10 year old division champions.:cheer2: Another nailbiter. He is so proud of his trophy (ahhh another dust collector!)

From there we decided to take our little basketball star to Bennigans bc mom did not feel like cooking for the crew and DMom and DBro.

:cheer2: :cheer2: Congrats to DS and his team :cheer2: :cheer2:

The problem is, I can't sleep without him! I know it sounds sappy, but it's really not. I'm so used to sleeping with that big lug snoring next to me, if he's not there, it just feels wrong!

:grouphug:

I'm pretty much used to not having DH sleeping next to me with him gone to the fire station over night or when he is deployed. I joke around about getting the whole bed to myself, which is actually nice :thumbsup2
This time I can't go to sleep without the tv on. I can't figure it out cause I haven't had this problem before. So I just set the timer on the tv for about 20 minutes to an hour and close my eyes. I'm always asleep before the tv turns off.

My friend's 4 year old spent the night last night. The last time he was fabulous and slept until 8, this time he was up before 7.

We did go for donuts tho. I think I'm gonna need a nap he'll be here all day.

Mornin', friends.

My kids slept in today, which is not surprising considering how late it was when they went to sleep. My dh was watching Terminator 2 (AGAIN) and every time I wasn't looking he'd turn the surround sound back up. I wouldn't notice until something dramatic happened and the whole house would shake, then I would hear the girls giggling in their beds.

Is it a man thing to watch the same movies over and over again? I know that everyone has a few movies they can watch repeatedly, but he will watch any movie a dozen times.

Nope Dh does the same thing, watches the same movie over and over again.

Mine too. And loud, also. I always tell him he's getting old, and that I'm going to surprise him with a hearing aid for his birthday.

Mine cant hear a thing esp the sound of my voice when I am asking him to do something:rotfl2:

Did I kill the thread? :confused3

I went to bed after we popped the cork (on a bottle of champagne, get your mind out of there!) When I got up this morning to the sound of the cat's incessant meowing & my son's question of the day, I did my WINNER'ing. Got the kitchen cleaned up from dinner last nite, put the laundry away, started another load & vacuumed the glitter up from the kids' "craft" projects. Now I'm doing all my "desk" work so hopefully I won't be scrambling to get the kids out the door for school in the a.m.

Hubby's having a hard time getting moving today. The only thing on his list is mowing the lawn but he's gonna putz around until it starts raining then he'll be complaining about not getting it done. Much like yesterday.

He also likes to watch the same movies over & over. And loud! I keep telling him he needs to visit his nearest Bel-Tone store to get that checked. :listen:
He also has what's known as selective hearing. :headache:

My DH doesn't watch alot of movies over and over, except for Star Wars movies and acouple others, but he has to put the surround sound on too. I don't understand the loudness part of it either.
I think all DHs have the selective hearing problem.

Well, had a sorta winnerish morning...pulled down part of the baby jail since my kids aren't babies anymore (I had two super play yards hooked together to form a "kid zone" in the family room). I'm a firm believer that good baby jails make good babies.

Anyway, ripped that down, went to church, home, grocery store, home, cleaned up about a third of the family room and now it's nap time.

I'm the one in our house with bad hearing, but I actually do have bad hearing. I'm avoiding going and getting it officially tested because every time I go anywhere for a medical test it leads to more tests. Blech! As it is in the next month I'm supposed to get an extra special kinda female ultrasound to check they cyst on my ovary, get the old cushion squeeze for the second time in six months and get a biopsy done of a growth in my thyroid.
