I found a floor in #2DS's room :woohoo:
That was the highlight of my morning. Haircoloring not so good :sad2: I should have expected this. My last choice of hair color was black & the one I used this morning was Natural Dark Reddish Brown (looked like a very dark auburn for my haircolor). Well I did everything right, rinse it out and dry my hair...............................I only see the red on the top of my head, the rest of my hair is still black :scared1: It would be kind of cute if there were some red streaks through out the rest of the black, but no the red is just on the top of my head (I can see alittle on the underneath part of my hair when I pull my hair up). Now I have to get in tough with Clairol and see what I can do to fix it.
On the bright side all the gray hairs are gone :lmao:

Oh, and BTW...I finished matching/putting away the basket of socks..Started on the bedroom and..................................................................................................................
I FOUND THE SHOES!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I'm going back in to see what else I can find. who knows, maybe Jimmy Hoffa??:rotfl:

Matching socks  :confused3 WTH is that!!! I just buy the same color - white - and brand of socks and throw them in the drawer! That way they ALL match and I don't get annoyed when 1 has a hole or I can't find the other one, etc. and so on. Too much time wasted on socks :sad2:

I feel for you - I'm in the same boat, I'll be 41 next month.

I was 33 when I had DS1 and 38 when I had DS2. My DH and I were high school sweethearts and were married right out of college (we will be celebrating our 18th anniversary on St. Patrick's Day). For 10 long years after our marriage all we heard from friends and family is: "When are you going to have kids?" and we always replied "When we are ready.." - it really irks me when people tell us we should have had them when we were young enough to enjoy them, Come on... Why don't you just wheel me over to the retirement home already.

I always reply that they are keeping me young! :woohoo: Well they are boys so maybe young is not quite the right word - how about... they are keeping me active!

PS... I hate it when DH does "future math" (how old we will be when DS#2 starts driving, goes to college etc.) :scared1:

We too waited until we'd been married 10 years. We actually got pregnant about 10 days before our anniversary. FIL's words when we told them "We'd about given up on you two."

We also won't have to have the in-laws be our caregivers while we're at work, while they're working full time still. They won't have to pay for things like having the tree that's about to fall on our house removed because we can't pay for it.

We waited until we were ready and I'm so happy that we did. We're better off financially, and we've had our "fun". We've had time to ourselves.

DH asked what the best age was to take kids to WDW the other night. We discussed the ages that we want to take them there, to do the DC thing, to see Mt. Rushmore, Black Hills, Yellowstone (he's never even seen that). He's gonna be such a great daddy!!!!!

Gotta warn you Malibu your little girl is gonna have your DH wrapped around her little finger the second he sees her. That's what happened when DD was born. I saw DH look at her and knew he was hooked :cutie: He is still a sucker for her little pouty lip and puppy dog eyes. She has tried that on me and I tell her "Sorry kiddo that don't work on mommy. I was a daddy's little girl too. I know all the tricks." :lmao:

Yeah, I know..They were all white, but some were DH's, mine, DS9 wears long socks, DS8 wears short one. the two boys have different brands, never occured to me to make them all the same..D'oh!!

Well, I didn't get the boys room completely done, if they don't mess it up too much tonight I might be able to finish it tomorrow! Gotta run to shelve books..ba bye...

Sorry!!!

We had the last appointment with the sonogram lady yesterday, then I made phone calls, went out for dinner for my friend's birthday, then had to call back my other friend who wasn't home.

Anyway, IT'S A GIRL!!!!

Her name is Joelle (like Jo and Elle) Lynn. She is now due on July 13th, which really isn't much of a change. The sono lady said everything looks good. Yeah!!!

Hooray! A girl, that is so great!!!

:yay: :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo:

ok this frequent peeing is really cutting into my DIS time:lmao:

Yeah, that is the worst part of a UTI.

I tried to read how old is too old. Ugh! Seriously, get a life.

We are old by the standards of most people who live here. I ahd my first one at 27. Most people here have had 3 kids and are on their second husband by then.

Who cares.

Well based on my symptoms she gave me the drug but bc I had peed before I left(I never would have made it to the Drs) and then had to drink water when I got there to pee again, I may have diluted the nitrates for the stick test so they are sending for a culture but she is pretty sure since I have pain and all that fun stuff that yes it is UTI.

I think I had one like 2 years ago, and then a few but no I have been pretty lucky or if I do kind of feel like it could be usually I drink some Cran and I am good, which is what I did yesterday but then i woke up at 4 and I was in pain so I figured enough of this and made the appt. She yelled at me to get in for my physicial. Yep as sure as I get everyone else siutated:lmao:

My doctor is like that. He'll give me the meds no matter what my test results are. I walk in... tell him I have a UTI... he writes the prescription. The only thing that bugs me is the first round drugs are usually just a folic acid blocker, which kills the breeding ground for the infection. I almost always have to go back for a second round of drugs that are actual antibiotics to kill the infection. However, the little pills that turn your pee orange that kills the pain right away are GREAT!

That's the path my oldest sister chose. She and BIL were married for almost 12 years when my niece was born. They married right out of college and waited until THEY were ready. Nothing wrong with that!

OK, it's my turn on the soapbox..
soapbox.gif

I had mine at 40 and 42..I CANNOT go over to that thread, it will keep me awake being po'd tonight. There are plusses for both sides of the argument. The perfect world would be that I had them when I was young enough to be able to spring off the floor after playing with them, but financially as well off as I am now to be able to give them everything they need.

Why is it that women are our own worst enemies? We should band together and uplift each other, but it seems like we just want to drag each other down when it comes to topics like this, breastfeeding, SAHM/Working moms..my God ladies we need to help each other, not knock each other over!

I have opinions on extremes in any of these subjects, but I am kind of a live and let live type person.. Heck, when my DBIL divorced after 10 years and then told us he is gay...I hugged him, made a couple of jokes(we are like that) and told him I loved him.,.first time I told him that. What do I care about what other people do with their lives...I have enough to worry about with my own.

I have no idea why women continue to beat each other down over these things. I've had my run-ins with the "lactation nazis" (as I termed them during the bottle years for my two). I tried to breastfeed, really. I had my breasts examined by so many people that I joked I wanted to start getting dollar bills shoved in my undies. My breasts simply didn't step up and do their job. You can imagine my joy at having some random stranger give me a speech about how much my baby was missing out on when they caught me bottle feeding in public.

My sister (the one older than me, but not oldest... I have 2 sisters and 1 brother, all older) is gay. She and her partner have been together for 16 years. It was no surprise when she came out to me. I, too, live by the "whatever" creed. :confused3

:snooty: Yes, but the Dis police CLEARLY are FAR more knowledgable about EVERY subject than you are...especially the 21 year olds.

::yes::

Married at 27 (we'd been together since I was 18)
1st kid at 28
2nd kid at 29
tied my tubes at 30

I had a VERY busy 4 years!!! I see some of the people I went to HS with and like you said they're kids are about 10 years older than mine and they are divorced or on hubby #2 or even 3

Whatever - I don't think all people should get married, should have children, should have pets, etc. Different strokes for different folks and as long as your not all up in mine then have a nice day :flower3:

Helloooooooooooo everyone!!!

Malibu -- congrats!! Hooray, it's a girl! We were hoping you'd show up last night, so we waited...and waited...and waited...

To all the "old" moms -- what's better, having kids when you're a responsible adult and financially secure, or when you're young and don't realize you're not quite as mature as you thought you were til after you had the baby and it's already too late? I had my first at 22. I'll admit it, I was too young. Oh, I thought I was mature and had all the answers. It took me about 6 years of trying to be the "perfect" mom to realize, I didn't have ANY answers.

Mkrop -- sorry to hear about the UTI. They can be painful. When I was younger, I had a cyst, and it caused lots of UTI's and even some hospital stays. It went undiagnosed for a long time. The doc kept telling my mom nothing was wrong with me, send me to school.

Ok, well, as if this post isn't long enough, let me add my day.

I stayed up til 3:30 in the morning. I couldn't sleep, and I was working on paperwork. When the alarm went off at 7 this morning, it was all I could do to open my eyes. So, I got DS8 up and ready, fixed him breakfast and everything was fine. About 5 minutes before the bus was due to show up, I told him to keep an eye out for the bus, because I had to go lay down.

15 minutes later, he comes to my room and says, "I don't think the bus is coming." UGH!! The bus HAD come, he was just too busy watching TV to notice.

So I drag myself outta bed, get some clothes on, brush my teeth, get the little one up, try to get him ready, but he's lost his un-poopy pair of shoes (he won't wear the other ones cuz he stepped in poop about 2 months ago).

I get DS to school eventually, but he's already late. I rush back home, because now I'M running late (it takes about 50 minutes to get to school and back). I had a few more paperwork things to do so I could copy my records off to take to the accountant.

I get to the docs, and she tells me everything looks wonderful -- except my cholestoral. She's given me 3 months to get it under control (fish oil, diet, exercise). I was surprised, because I'm kinda small, and I thought cholestoral was mostly a weight related thing.

I hit the accountant, the bank, the grocery store, WalMart, and head over to my MIL's, because she's going to Florida next Friday (that witch!!) and wanted her hair colored and highlighted.

Now I'm finally home, and the car is (mostly) unloaded (some sodas and stuff that I just don't feel like dragging in). I've got to straighten up the kitchen some because me and the kids are going to (attempt to) make candy apples.

I'm going to make sure I send those kids to bed early tonight, because I am so tired that I'll know I won't have any trouble sleeping tonight!!

Sorry this post is soooooo long, but I haven't seen yall all day, so I guess I'm just wound up, since I've been missing my Loser buddies all day.

Yes, I live here in Nowhere. Everyone here got married at 18 and had kids by 20 and were divorced by 26. By their standards we are a weird bunch. We met when I was 17, married at 22, kids at 27, 29, 31. We are still married and love each other most days.

OK...my "rest your back" break is over...we're doing Spring Cleaning at my office. So I get to work AND clean....life is sooooo joyful.

I knew everything at 16 & I know my mom is waiting for when my DD is the same age :scared1: :lmao:

I'm pretty sure my mom put her curse on me. "Just you wait until YOU have daughter...."

Yep. Mini-me.:rotfl2:

One day when she is not looking, I too will curse her.

One day when she is not looking, I too will curse her.

Already been done at our house with her & #2DS

:lmao:

I guess I could curse #1DS with a child just like him, but that wouldn't be a bad thing cause he is a good kid...............................................so far. We'll see in a few years :rotfl2:
