Have you installed it yourself? Was it a very large pain in the you know where? After it was all done did you wish you got it installed by someone?

TIA!

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha....

I JUST did this last week. In fact, I posted the same thing you did, right before I did it. Let me give you the good news: It looks FANTASTIC. Such an improvement over the nappy, stained, stinky, dusty carpet that was there before. Wish I had the ability and cash to do the whole house!

The bad: heheehehe...hahahaha...Mwahahahahahaa! It was SUCH an ordeal! I hired a handyman who has done some work for us in the past. Thank God for him otherwise I would have burned the house down in frustration and thrown myself on the pyre. Even with him though, it was a borderline disaster. It took 8 hours to do a 100s/f hallway.

If you want it done right, and quickly...HIRE A PRO. I should;ve just had Lowe's do the install. They would've brought more guys and it would've been done in 1/2 the time.

Also, DON'T cheap out on product. We did. Bought the $.89 s/f cheap laminate and while it LOOKS great, it was ridiculous to install because of the cheap construction of the planks. The tongue/grooves kept bending and buckling. A better sturdier quality laminate would've been easier to install.

that said...we MAY do the cheap laminate in another room or two again anyway, but with Lowe's doing the install.

My husband put down Konnecto flooring in our entryway and one of our bathrooms. We're going to put it in the other bathrooms, too (I don't like tile), and eventually the kitchen. It's not cheap, but it's 100% waterproof and it looks really nice. People think it's real hardwood.

It was a piece of cake to put down. Extremely easy. We were going to hire someone to do it and DH decided to try himself. I'm so glad he did. He's saved us so far over $500.

I really recommend the Konecto. It was, I think, about $4.00/sq.ft. We put down the Prestige Walnut. It really looks great and, like I said, a cinch to install. I could have done it and I'm not handy in the least.

Here's their website: http://www.konectousa.com/products_plank.html?productTitle=prestige&collection=Prestige Collection

:lmao: There's the problem, right there! We just didn't have the money to spend like that, so went went el cheapo. Partially why DH won't do the rest of the house now. He says we will have to save for the good stuff if we ever want to do it again.

The cheap stuff does look great...but what a B- to install!

:) Yeah. That's why we're waiting to do the kitchen. We have a pretty big kitchen and it will cost quite a bit.

Yeah I don't know if we have $4/sqft to do either. I was thinking of not el cheapo but like a higher middle of the line....like 2.50ish.

Anyone have any good/things about prego? There is a sale at lowe's for 15% off

Hey, I just checked with my husband and he said the Konecto was $2.89 per square foot. So not as much as I'd thought.
