Laissez les bon temps Rouler...Feb 2010 2/20 MK Last part of the Night updt 9/70 pg65

what a great update! If it makes you feel any better when I met Jordan he had the tongue thing going on and I didn't think to do it. Like I assumed normal pics first, then the tongue.....nope.

That turkey leg looks awfully good! I would eat one if I could sit down with it but it's so huge to stand there and gnaw on :rotfl:

GREAT FOLK and Safari pics.

Great pix of the Safari !!Mine are always blurry !!! Yes Jordan is a great guy !!! So glad you met up with him!!! We had a ball with him a few days before !!!

GREAT FOLK and Safari pics.

Totally escaped my thoughts to put the tongue out.

Michelle enjoyed her turkey leg but no one is ever able to put much of a dent in it.

Thanks for the kudos on the photos.

I have lots of animal backsides. I have decided when I get around to doing the scrapbook for this trip to dedicate a 2 page layout to "animal backsides".

Meeting Jordan was the highlight of your trip. Danielle thinks he's a rockstar or something. I hope he continues his trip report when he gets back. The pictures we took we had Cherie (Winkers) in mind, she hates turkey legs too.

I love FOTLK!!!! You got some great pics! How awesome that you got to have your first DIS meet...so much fun!

You are an updating machine!

So glad you go to meet Jordan, DIS meets can be so much fun.

Marc wants to try a turkey leg...I don't know how I feel about them, I think they look a little gross.

We love it too! Now that I've had my first meet I'm ready for more. They are fun.

Trying to get as much up as possible before you leave.

Jordan was the best! I'm so glad we got the chance to meet him.

Let him try it or he'll always remind you he never had one, just like he never went to AK.

They look a little gross but they smell really good, if you're a meat eater.

Hopefully after Christmas and through New Years 2011, although I would love to get free dining and go in May after school lets out.

We'll miss you be less than a week. :faint: Our dates are Dec 12-22, 2011.

Great update! :thumbsup2

:yay: You met Jordan! I know it was weird for Dennis....non-DISers just don't get it.

And I may or may not have a similar gorilla picture later on in my TR. :rolleyes1

I lucked out and got to meet Jordan! I would do it again in a heartbeat. Non-DISers just don't understand.

Sounds like his back side was his best side.:lmao:

According to my Boss all I took were pix of animals BUTTS and food !!!:lmao:

What a great combination!

Wowsa - I got really behind. Love your pictures from AK. I am brain dead right now - trying to watch a documentary on 911. I must read in better detail tomorrow. Excellent FOTLK pics. I really want to see that again - its been way too long!

After missing it last trip when you were so close you really need to make a point to see it this trip.

After Jordan helped me collect the girls food it was time to join the others in the theater. We said our goodbyes, with hopes of meeting up the next day at Epcot. Sadly we never did meet up again. This was Jordan's alone part of his trip so I didn't want to invade his space. I did keep an eye all the next day but never did see him. I'm curious to know what he did that next day.

I made in the show with just 7 minutes to spare. Not too long after I was seated we got a call from Jada asking where we were. With just a few minutes to spare she squeezed in with us. Dennis and the girls had gotten us some really good seats. We really love this show but I do miss Four for a Dollar. On our trip in June we missed seeing this, my other sister Tena didn't like shows. She said they all put her to sleep.

Time to start the show.

In this town full of little people. . .

I love Gaston in this show. We've had this guy several times and he's so in character.

I want adventure . . .

Be Our Guest . . .

There must be something more. . .

It's you!

Beauty and the Beast

I just love this show! I still remember the first time I saw the movie, or at least most of it. Michelle was very little and not very good. I remember being so impressed with the opening scene of the castle. The first time we saw the show was on our Thanksgiving trip in 2002. Danielle was 3 and didn't move for the entire show, she was totally entranced. I think I watched her more than the show.

We we exited the theater it was dark and very cold. I do believe this was the coldest night of our trip. Jada and Lauren wanted to see Fantasmic and leave. We thought we would wait for the second showing. It was showing at 7 and 8:30. Time was passing so we went ahead and sent her in. I didn't want her to miss it and we still didn't know what we wanted to do. We could go try to do something and catch it at 8:30 when it wouldn't be as crowded or try to get in and get back to the resort at a nice time. Added to this was the fact that it was freezing! I mean really cold. We all had coats and we were still cold. After waffling for a little while we finally decided just to go ahead and try to get in. On our way in we fell for the tourist trap and paid $35 for a small Mickey blanket. The only way we were going to sit in the cold was with more warmth. Of course I had a perfectly good blanket back in our room. Believe it or not we actually made it in the first showing, although we were seated at the bottom close to the water in the Jafar section. After securing our seats we took a quick bathroom break before the show started.

More to come.

After our bathroom breaks we spread out our tiny blanket, sitting as close together as possible and got ready for the show.

Remember that today was Mardi Gras. Michelle had picked us up some headbands to wear in honor of the day. Fantasmic was the perfect place to wear them since they light up. Of course mine didn't light up unless I held the button down.

I did get a text from Elizabeth while we were waiting for the show to start. She was seated the show all the way at the other end. She and her friend were planning to leave as soon as the show was over so we didn't get to meet up. We were going to try again on Friday, but at that point they weren't sure where they would be and were just winging it.

I forgot to mention that not only were there lots of people there for President's week and Mardi Gras but we had also been invaded by the "Cheerios" (if you watch Glee you know what I mean). They were everywhere. Dennis said he even heard some men complaining about them in the men's restroom and they called them cheerios too. While waiting two groups got in a yelling competition. One of the groups was from the New Orleans/Metaire area and they started the "Who That" and the count down thing that Drew Brees made popular. I don't remember it but Michelle knew it.

I hope this works.

At last it was time for the show to start. I don't have any good shots but we did enjoy it as always.

After the show we were ready to head back to the resort. Since we were all the way in the last section it took us a while to exit. There was a mass crowd of people exiting at once and we of course had to make a bathroom stop on the way out. Danielle and Dennis didn't need the restroom so they shopped while Michelle and I waiting in line. We used the restroom on Sunset. It was a pretty long wait. Finally we were ready to go. Now here is were things got ugly. Of course there were lots of people waiting for the Disney buses. Since we had rode the bus from Epcot we were unsure of where our bus stop was. It ended up being pretty far down. In the past when we stayed at Pop this was the one park where the stop was real close to the exit. So we started walking to the stop. Along the way we pass this huge line that just keeps getting longer and longer passing several stops. Finally we get to our stop and guess what, that long line. . . it was the line for POFQ:scared1:. We retraced our steps to get in line and believe it or not it got even longer behind us. I don't know how long it had been since a bus had come but I would guess quite a while. And or course it never fails, when you're waiting in a long line it seems that all the other buses come several times before even one bus comes for your resort. I was truly loosing my patience at this point. We waited and waited. Just about the time that a true mob scene was about to break out a bus finally came. And of course then another one and finally a third one. I think we made it on the third bus. This was by far our worst bus experience this trip and beside Michelle's trip to Ak that morning it was the only really bad one.

Up next our night at the resort and 3 days of thrill rides catches up to me. . .

$35 for a small mickey blanket - that is a bit steep! Yikes! So great that you got into the show though- I hope you did freeze your butts off.

More lovely pictures - so much detail. I love BATB, too!

Great updates!! I love Beauty and the Beast and have missed it the last few times we have gone. It is definitely on the list for next time though! You got some great shots! That's great that you went ahead in to see Fantasmic - such a great show! Ugh on that bus wait! :headache:

Uh-oh on that foreshadowing.....:rolleyes1

Sara

Great pictures from Beauty and the Beast and Fantasmic! What a shame it was so cold -- I was almost shivering along with you just from your description. Cute Mardi Gras headbands!

I had to laugh over your Cheerios reference. Chelsea and I just recently discovered Glee and have been hurriedly trying to get through all the episodes before the season premiere. We just watched the Madonna episode which is my favorite one so far!

What a pain about the buses! We had a super long line back to CBR one night.
