Cast:
Alaine (aka Lainy67) - 34, the planner, mother, wife, and scribe.
Frank - 36, the hubby, father, and primary photographer.
Sarah - 10, the eldest daughter, and in Disney terms - an adult
Samee - 3, the youngest daughter, and hyperness personified.

Thursday the 25th was EPCOT day

Got there and through the gates and to stroller rental right before 10 am. While we were there, the CM at stroller rental told us the character bus was going to be here any minute. He was right. It arrived within 2 minutes. Sarah got Rafiki, Mr. Smee and Meeka autographs. They left before we could get Donald. I had stood in line and made it through, but Sarah had seen me 4 families back and decided I was to far away from Donald so wandered off. Oh well.

Went through Innoventions East. Sent a D-Mail to Dee Doll and Big D (my parents). The only thing that really interested us was AIBO. Both Frank and I worked with early voice recognition programs and research in school, so that was interesting.

On to Wonders of Life. Did the Body Wars ride. Walked on. They weren't using all of the simulators so they let Frank and Samee watch the video in one theater without the motion while Sarah and I rode it. Then we switched. The Making of Me was next. We were pretty impressed. Although the description of the "parts" was very glossed over. Sarah hated it. Cranium Command was good.

Next was the Living Seas. Should've skipped it. Rode Journey Into your Imagination again. Our impressions remained the same. We talked to a monorail driver later that week about Figment and agreed it just isn't the same.

Headed over to World Showcase. Samee played in the water sprays on the way for a few minutes. It helped tremendously. She went around without shorts until almost dinnertime. But she was cool and happy.

We started in Mexico and began the mask process at the Kidcot stations. Rode the boat ride. Have they updated this? It seemed different to us. Bought Conga Juice and Churros to share. On to Norway. Uh oh Maelstrom is dead. Well down for refurbishment. Darnit. Ok. Kidcot station, next country China. Shopped for a while. Samee fell asleep between Norway and China. Did the kidcot, bought a fan and here comes Germany. The best shops in World Showcase. Ok. Maybe some disagree, but we really like them. We had a pretzal and sandwich that we shared at Sommerfest. Bought a bottle of wine for my Dad (Big D juice). Kidcot for the kids.

Italy was next. Italian ice for Frank and Kidcot for the kids. We rushed so we could see Shockwave. Uh... ok.... we must be missing something because we just weren't that impressed with it. We left early. Kidcot Station. Good gracious, the US is boring. There is SOooooo much more that they could have here in terms of shops and in terms of food. The inside show is great, but the rest could be improved so much.

We had much better luck in Japan. The kids had shaved ice and loved it. Kidcot again. The drummers were there and were really good. Went ahead and did the Morrocco Kidcot and met Jasmine and Aladdin. Went out and sat on the bench between Morrocco and Japan 15 minutes before Tapestry of Dreams. They came out directly to the right side of us and all of them stopped right in front of us. Talked to the kids, danced for them, etc... We loved it.

Right after the parade we went into our PS at Marrakesh!!! Frank had the Royal Feast, I had the Marrakesh Feast, so we actually had a little of almost everhtying on the menu. Ilham was our waitress and was very good. It wasn almost empty, and it is such a shame because the food alone is that good. Then you have the music and the belly dancer. She had all the kids come up on stage. Out of all of them, Samee was the youngest, and the only one that seemed to dance. The others were all too shy. It was so much fun. Frank got the apple crepes with his meal and I had the assorted pastries. Ilham brought out extra of the Baklava, so Frank got a whole piece, and I was supposed to have an entire piece. Well I offered Samee a small bite at the beginning. After I took a bite she asked for another. I offered her the piece to take a bite of, and she stuck the whole piece in her mouth, my fingers and all. I guess that she liked it.

Exited Morrocco well fed around 7:30 or so to ominous looking skies and sprinkles. Decided we only had 3 more countries to do on with the tromp. In France we bought Big D another bottle of wine. Kidcot station is closed but we got the stamps anyway. OK now it is raining hard but we must continue. Onto Britain.

Uh.. That was LOUD and CLOSE. Um Ok... Run to Britain. Into the closest door. The winner is... the froo froo store as my hubby calls it. He and Sarah took off to the other building for stamps. Samee and I hung out. Talked to a CM from England for a while and watched an incredible light show - all natural. Once it lightened a bit we went to Canada. Finally found the area at Kidcot - at the very top. The stamps were had just as Illuminations started. Yeah. We got all the countries. and Yeah!!! Illuminations is going on. I was told by a CM that it has never been cancelled. We watched it, the rain stopped right on time. Walked to pick up packages and then to turn in the stroller, and then back to the hometel.

Frank and I took Samee swimming and Sarah was too tired so she went to sleep listening to RadioDisney.

BEST PART OF DAY

Sarah - Almost all of it
Samee - playing in the water fountains
Frank - Almost all of it
Alaine - Marrakesh, Tapestry of Dreams

WORST PART OF DAY

Sarah - Rain
Samee - having to wear the poncho
Frank - Rain
Alaine - Rain

More and more rain.. Quick somebody turn off the faucet! ;) I dont know why they took out the ride in the Living Seas. It really took away from the place.

Living Seas really needs an update. You seem to fit a lot into one day. So much fun had by all.
