LAH LAH's Dec '10 PTR & WDW Trivia Extravaganza! *new 1/2/11*

1st installment of the
WDW TRIVIA EXTRAVAGANZA!!!

:cheer2:

Rules are as follows:

*Try to refrain from researching the answers...I am sure all answers can be found by googling, but that takes away the fun.

*Points will be given for correct answers, good trys, and funny comments.

*Winner will (probably) get something; quite possibly only just a postcard from us while we are in the parks...:confused3 Ok, so I am cheap.

*LAH LAH reserves the right to give or take away as many or as few points as she sees fit.

*The points don't really matter. :rotfl2:

Here we go!

How many attractions in the WDW theme parks involve guests boarding boats?

A. 7
B. 10
C. 11
D. 14

Good luck! :wizard:

Next up: The littlest one is sick...

Okay....I came up with 9 answers on my little listy loo. So I guess my official answer is going to be 10. I must be forgetting one. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

I received my pins yesterday!! Thank you so much, I can't wait to wear it in the parks in January.

*the littlest one we are working so hard to keep from getting sick is indeed, well, sick. His pulseox is falling into the mid 80's (:scared1:) and we are working to keep him from going back into the hospital. I'll pick up with the trivia as soon as things settle down here*

Next up: Success!

SUCCESS!

We were packed and expecting that baby C would be admitted (again) to the hospital for his lung issues. We stayed packed for 2 days. We had 3am phone consultations with his lung specialist. We went back to every 4 hour breathing treatments and pulseox monitoring. but...

...we got through it with no hospitilization! :yay: His pulseox is on the rise and we are relieved!

We also got to mark off the first 2 days on our countdown! Can't believe we only have 60 days left!!

Trivia Continues!

Ok, so the first trivia question was:

How many attractions in the WDW theme parks involve guests boarding boats?

A. 7
B. 10
C. 11
D. 14

and the answer is...

B.10

Jungle Cruise, Pirares of the Carribbean, Splash Mountain, Liberty Square Riverboat, it's a small world, Tom Sawyers Island, Maelstrom, Living with the Land, El Rio del Tiempo, Kali River Rapids (MGM has none)

Lady Lallie, you get 17 LAH LAH points for guessing correctly and 26 LAH LAH points for being the only one who joined in so far. So, you are obviously in the lead with 43 LAH LAH points! :lmao:

Trivia question # 2

Which attraction has 109 Audio-Animatratronics figures?

A. Splash Mountain
B. it's a small world
C. The Great Movie Ride
D. The Haunted Mansion

Next up: Answer # 2 and Question # 3

I'm so happy that the baby was able to pull through and not need to go to the hospital. :thumbsup2

Woo Hoo!! I'm really in the lead!! :lmao:

My answer for this trivia question is going to be....

A!

Here's my reasoning. It's a Small World would have more I think. Hall of Presidents has way less than that and I'm pretty sure Haunted Mansion would have right around that number or maybe even a little less. I'm not sure. Now I'm doubting my answer.

Nope, sticking with A.

Trivia Question #2 Answer

We are looking for the answer to this trivia question:

Which attraction has 109 Audio-Animatratronics figures?

A. Splash Mountain
B. it's a small world
C. The Great Movie Ride
D. The Haunted Mansion

and the answer is....

D. The Haunted Mansion. There may be 999 happy haunts but only 109 of them are Disney-created Audio-Animatronics figures!

Lady Lallie, you get 8 LAH LAH points for being the only one guessing and 14 LAH LAH points for your reasoning. :goodvibes You are way in the lead with 69 LAH LAH points! The the official standings are as follows:

Lady Lallie: 69
The rest of the DISboards: 0

Lady Lallie, this is impressive! :worship:

Trivia question # 3

About how many pounds of laundry are done each day at WDW?

A. 20,000
B. 50,000
C. 120,000
D. 220,000

Next up: Baby C update

Woo Hoo!! I do great when I'm playing against myself. :rotfl2::banana::rotfl:

I'm going big for question #3. I think they do lots and lots of laundry. So my answer is D, 220,000lbs!

Do you mind if I post your PTR link on my Trip Report? I love your PTR and want to share it with others!! :goodvibes

I surely don't mind! :upsidedow

Baby C update!

So we sidestepped the hospital but we had to take the baby back to the lung specialist yesterday...

...he has pertussis. Poor baby :sad1:

So he is now on 3 different inhalers. He takes 2 puffs of #1 followed by 2 puffs of #2 when he wakes up. He then takes 2 puffs of #1 at lunch. Night time is 2 puffs of #1 and 2 puffs of #2.

The 3rd inhaler is to be administered in double puffs as well, but every 3 hours.

If you added that all up it is 26 puffs 13 different times a day (ummmm night too). He is also on 2 oral medications taken morning and at night.

BUT WE ARE NOT IN THE HOSPITAL!!! :dance3:

I am hoping he is all better by the time we head out for Disney...I don't want to leave him if he is still needing all of these meds. We are praying for healing but if that is not your thing we wouldn't mind you all sending some pixie dust our way! :wizard:

Next up: Answer # 3 and Question # 4

I will definitely be in prayer!!! Hope he heals up real fast!!

Headed this way thanks to Leslie!!! I'm going to have to give her a run for her money on the trivia game!!!!!

I'm enjoying your PTR!! I love it!!!!

I'm going to guess C for the trivia answer!!

Trival Trivia!

All right! Now that jenjolt has joined us we gots ourselves a real competition!

Question # 3:

About how many pounds of laundry are done each day at WDW?

A. 20,000
B. 50,000
C. 120,000
D. 220,000

and the answer is *drum roll please*

C. 120,000

Next time you complain about how much laundry you have to do, think about this...if you were to wash and dry one load of laundry every day for 33 years, you'd clean as much as the folks at WDW laundry do in a single day. That doesn't include the 30,000 to 32,000 garments that must be dry-cleaned daily!

Points time! jenjolt, this was an impressive steal! Swooping in and guessing correctly earns you 29 points...and following Ladie Lallie to my PTR earns you another 18 points and a . Lady Lallie, although you guessed incorrectly if you factored in the dry cleaning you may have come a bit closer...so you are awarded 6.5 points!

Lady Lallie: 75.5 points
Jenjolt: 47 points

Question # 4:

Where is the largest fountain in WDW?

A. Epcot's Future World
B. Disney's Polynesian Resort
C. Jim Henson's MuppetVision 3D
D. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Good Luck! :thumbsup2

Next up: Pictures, just for fun!

I love this trivia game!! Too much fun!!

I'm guessing A, Epcot's Future World. I think that is the fountain where they brought in water from all around the world to add when Epcot opened. :thumbsup2

I followed over from Lady Lallie's trip report! I can't wait to hear about your family's trip and I am so glad to hear that the Baby stayed out of the hospital.

I am guessing A for question 4.

I played along with the other questions (even though the answers were already posted) and I would like to argue the answer to #1 is 11! What about Peter Pan? You get into a boat. It's just not in water! ;)

Welcome C&C! :cheer2:

Here's the deal. You are getting into the game a bit late so I should be deducting points...but you have the spunk to challenge my answers which automatically gives you 21 LAH LAH points!!

:rotfl:

PICTURES, just for fun!

I got my hair cut...bangs for the first time since 1990

Next up: We have an answer!

Love your pictures for fun!! WOOT WOOT!! The one of your baby eating the Fruit loops off the floor, that's priceless!!

Well Leslie, who's too fast for me stole my first guess LOL! I would assume the EPCOT Fountain, it's huge!! But since it's been taken I am going with the fountain at the Poly LOL!!

WOOT! At least I have some points LOL!!!!!

An answer for the 4th!

Where is the largest fountain in WDW?

A. Epcot's Future World
B. Disney's Polynesian Resort
C. Jim Henson's MuppetVision 3D
D. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

*just for the record, I don't know the answers till I type the answer posts. Why I feel the need to reveal this is beyond me...:rotfl2:*

Ok, so we guesses of 2 A's and a B...and the answer is:

C.

Just kidding. :rotfl: It is A. The Fountains of Nations is WDW's largest fountain. More than 108,000 gallons of water flow through its pipes each day, and it's 304 nozzles can shoot water over 150 feet into the air (nearly as high as Spaceship Earth!)

POINTS TIME!

I hereby award Lady Lallie 15 points for being the first to correctly guess A. CC, you may be expecting to garner the same level of points as Leslie but this is not the case. You earn 30 LAH LAH points for guessing correctly. However, I am deducting 6 because you were second to guess A. (as if this or any of this really even matters ). Jenjolt, you earn 9 points for striking out on your own and even though you were wrong, this shows gumption! So technically these are gumption points.

Lady Lallie: 90.5
Jenjolt: 56
CC: 45
