LAH LAH's Dec '10 PTR & WDW Trivia Extravaganza! *new 1/2/11*

There was a 125 point bonus for posting the 100th post.

Better luck next time. :goodvibes

So, baby C turned 1 today! :cheer2: I didn't get any non-face pictures so I altered these a bit.

It was a great day up until everyone scheduled to come to the party cancelled last minute due to colds. No use in keeping him secluded for 5 months if we openly bring all the germs in. So, it turned out to be just the 5 of us with a party pizza and more cupcakes than needed. But all in all it was still a great day!

E kicking C. On his birthday, no less. (E is pretty naughty but loveable)

Happy Baby C!

2 hours later we gathered to sing Happy Birthday and he disolved into tears.
He sure cried hard!

DSC04741.jpg

But his first taste of sugar and "real food" made up for it all!

Next up: We got answers, we got points

I'm going to guess your favorite color is green.

I'm thinking your question is all of the WDW buses together, not just one bus so my answer is going to be....

C

Great pictures from the little one's birthday party!! I love overalls on little ones, it just makes them look even cuter! :lovestruc

JJ: 253 Points
CC: 275.6 Points
LL: 272 Points
Elsa: 50 points

I am in the lead!! I can't believe it!:thumbsup2 But for how much longer?

#9- I am going with D. 12 Million. It's a lot of buses moving around a lot of people!

As for your favorite color . . . . I scrolled back through to see if any of the pictures or what you were wearing would inspire me. . . I am going to go with blue.

But his first taste of sugar and "real food" made up for it all!

Baby C did a great job with his first taste of real food and sugar! My little guy (who's name also happens to start with a C!) didn't want to get messy when eating his birthday cake! It's funny though, he is all about it when there is spagetti on his plate!

LL pimped you out and I'm so glad she did! I'm here, joining the parrrrrrrrrrty! Loving your PTR!

But first.

Let me get this straight.

You are a single-Momma.

With 2 "big kids", one teen with a few special needs.

AND a foster Momma to a baby and a toddler?

Really?

And your house is clean? And you didn't buy those cupcakes?!?!?!

HOW DO YOU DO IT? Please, send me the special pill you take everyday. ::yes::

I can barely hang on with one 3 year old! :rotfl:

Anyway - you are Super Woman. Seriously. And you are funny. And your kids are adorable - all four of them. LOVE these last pics of Baby with his cupcakes! I will be praying for him with the health issues!

As for the trivia...if it's all the buses TOTAL, I'm going to guess C.
And your favorite color - I'm going to guess blue!

HOW DO YOU DO IT? Please, send me the special pill you take everyday. ::yes:::surfweb:

Any friend of LL is a friend of mine!

So happy you are here to join us. :woohoo:

You get a signing bonus of 200 points (mostly cause you need to catch up, and then a little bit cause you brought the warm and fuzzies with you)

I'll let you in on my secret. My house is always clean because I can't stand clutter and I have slight OCD. My policy is if something comes in the house, something goes out. No clutter and less to clean up! :cool1: My OCD kicked in after my son's issues really started affecting our everyday lives. My house was the only thing I could "control".

I could not do this without a great support system of friends and family. Believe me, I call them...and I cry a lot!

My kids help more than I like to admit. I sometimes worry that I am robbing them of a relaxed childhood by tackling this foster situation, but at the same time we are able to serve as a family...and that is a good thing! :cloud9:

If you think I am supermom* now you might think I am a wee bit crazy after I announce that the boys mom is pregnant with # 3...she is due mid April, but delivered at least 2 months early with the boys. We are seriously discussing if we can really tackle 3 under the age of 3 (I am inclined to say yes). :crazy2:

So...long story short: WELCOME

*I don't consider myself to be even close to a supermom...I don't type about the laundry room or when I lose my patience and yell at my son for things he can't help or when I plop down on the couch at 8:45pm when Michael and Elsa go to sleep and watch TV till 1am and wake up grumpy (believe me...the list goes on and on.)

I love overalls on little ones, it just makes them look even cuter! :lovestruc

I feel the same way! :lovestruc :lovestruc

Also both babies have really big bellies and short (seriously short) legs...so they fit the best!

Baby C did a great job with his first taste of real food and sugar! My little guy (who's name also happens to start with a C!) didn't want to get messy when eating his birthday cake! It's funny though, he is all about it when there is spagetti on his plate!

My son was terrified of his 1st cupcake, but I have numerous pics of him covered in spaghetti sauce...

Little boys are so much fun! I hope you are enjoying your C as much as I enjoy mine!

LOL!! I'm a genius I tell ya LOL!!!! And you used the word gumption...that just makes me giddy! I love that word!

First of all Happy Birthday to your baby boy!! YAY for first birthdays!! After much cake he looks like one happy boy! Thanks for sharing with us!!

I love your point system!!! Makes me giggle!!

OCD...did someone mention OCD...holy cow you should see my classroom, my house a disaster I say, however my classroom is completely organized in a very weird way!!!! I have what we call selective OCD!!

Oh a question about Disney buses, can I tell you I'm a bit of a bus snob (don't take away points I beg you :worship:) However I guess I will venture out and say....C which of course has been guessed by Speedy Gonzleslie LOL over there...but oh well...

And as far as color goes...how about purple!

We got answers and we got points!

About how many miles a year do the WDW busses travel?

A. 90,000
B. 200,000
C. 2 million
D. 12 million

D. 12 million!!!

The more than 230 buses WDW uses to transport guests cover about 12 million miles per year. Think of it this way...to drive 12 million miles, you would have to circle the equator more than nine times a week for a year!

4 guesses; 1 correct and 3 not so correct.

BE (brookelizabeth) you have previously earned yourself a 200 point signing bonus and now an additional 100 for smooshing brooke and elizabeth together so cleverly! (let's not draw attention to the fact that she got her first trivia question wrong...avert your eyes...AVERT YOUR EYES!!!!!) *ahem* good try and better luck next time! Oh, and I need to deduct 15 points for incorrectly guessing my favorite color. :guilty:

JJ, you finally grace us with a guess, a wrong guess, but a guess none-the-less! You have earned 150 for guessing. But don't get too excited because you better get ready for some deductions. -60 for being a bus snob, and -80 for incorrectly guessing my favorite color. It's not all bad though because you get 18 for begging, and 31 for smooshing Speedy Gonzales and Leslie together.

CC, you got it right! Take 31 points! WOOT WOOT! You guessed the wrong color, but you scanned back through and I suppose the gumption points go to you today! 44 to you!

LL, you broke the streak. You now hold the record of 2 in a row to beat. I can award no points for your incorrectedness. :sad2: Buuuuuuuuuuuuut like the fantastic talent you are, you guessed my favorite color! 39 points to you!

Question # 9

When running at full capacity, how many logs are running on the Splash Mountain ride at any given time?

A. 15-17
B. 20-25
C. 40-44
D. 50-54

100 point bonus to each person who posts their answer before LL! She is speedy!

Next up: Some points on a Monday!

:dance3::yay::woohoo: WOOT WOOT!!! I'm replying first this morning!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!! :dance3::woohoo::banana: Guess it pays off to get up at 4:45am to workout before work AND It's FRIDAY YAY!!!!!

Hmmmmm....Splash Mountain has a bit of happiness and a bit of terror all mixed into one!!! I'm not a huge fans of the birds who warn me I can't turn back anymore LOL!! Makes me want to jump out of the boat instead of free-fall!!! However I love the song at the end!!

I'm going to guess it has a pretty high capacity and go with D!!!!

Speedy Gonzleslie. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

That almost made me snort my yogurt out of my nose this morning. Must not read the DIS and eat. :rotfl:

Green is my favorite color too!! Woo Hoo!!

I'm going with C. I don't know why. But that is what I'm thinking. It's a long ride and it moves quickly. Yep, C. Continous loading, that's the term I was trying to think of!

Little boys are so much fun! I hope you are enjoying your C as much as I enjoy mine!

I knew I always wanted kids, but had no idea how much I would love it! My munchkin actually giggles after he farts or burps. His Dad doesn't do it so I have no idea where he learned it from! I try to be disgusted, but he's too cute and melts Momma's heart every time!

CC, you got it right! Take 31 points! WOOT WOOT! You guessed the wrong color, but you scanned back through and I suppose the gumption points go to you today! 44 to you!

Nice!

 Woot! My lead is going to disappear very quickly though if there are weekend questions. I spend all work week on a computer, so I don't usually touch one all weekend! Eek! Can I just guess B. for #10 and C. for #11 blindly now? :rotfl:

Down to business: Question #9 I have to go with D. My gut wanted to go with B, but then I started thinking about being on the ride and being able to see at least 5-7 boats around mine, then thinking about how long the ride was, so I had to up my numbers!

We got some points on a Monday!

When running at full capacity, how many logs are running on the Splash Mountain ride at any given time?

A. 15-17
B. 20-25
C. 40-44
D. 50-54

Answer: D. 50-54

There are between 50 and 54 logs on the waters of Splash Mountain when it is running at full capacity. Each log is closely monitored by computer not only to prevent it from crashing into other logs but also to pinpoint each log's position in case the ride should need to be evacuated.

JJ, you got the 100 point bonus! :cool1: LL thought she was speedy, but you were speedier! You also got this question right earning you another 36 points! I am also awarding you 56 points for working out and waking up so early. Now that's dedication! :)

LL, you guessed wrong but proudly admit to the fact that you don't know why you guessed it. :rotfl: Your honesty will be rewarded with 98 points! I must deduct 8 points as yogurt actually coming out of your nose would have been classic! We do share the same favorite color so I gotta give you 54 points for that!

CC, you get 88 points for guessing correctly, and 12 for really thinking it through! I am not sure whether to add points or deduct them for blindly guessing. On one hand I see your dedication in not wanting to lose any points, but on the other hand I question your dedication for not spending your weekend like this ----> :surfweb: Me, myself, and I have deliberated and the since I didn't spend the weekend on the computer I decided I can't penalize you! Take 41 points!

BE, no points to give, no points to deduct. Maybe some food will entice you to return...so here ya go ----> popcorn:: Enjoy!

LAH LAH points:

BE: 285 (and some popcorn)

Question # 10

According to the clock tower on Peter Pan's Flight, what time is it?

A. 2:29
B. 11:18
C. 9:06
D. 10:18

Elsa's LAH LAH points are up for grabs. First one to "sing" me any full line of a Disney song!

Next up: 3 out of 4 aint bad!

Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, in a most delightful way!

I'm going with B. 11:18, my reasoning is that I think that is the position the clock hands are in when Peter Pan stands on the clock so that is my reasoning that is what it would be on Peter Pan's Flight.

Do I have to stick with B, which I guessed blindly on Friday or do I get a new guess??

Edited to add: I hope everyone had a lovely weekend!!
