OK Cat will be 2 next month, we just got the new Lady and the Tramp, we're watching it for the second time tonight and she may have seen 20% of it at this point. She'll "zone" in for ~10 minutes then out for 15-20! At what age did your kids sit thru an entire movie? Was there a marked difference between boy and girl?

But it sure is nice to see the movie on a 50" HD with surround sound! Reminds me of the first time I saw it in the theatre as a kid!

I don't remember the age when DD's actually watched a movie all the way through, but I do remember watching the beginning of the Lion King over and over when DD12 was 18 months old. She would get so excited when the music would start and then about the time Rafiki showed up she would want me to rewind it. I can't believe that tape made it through all the watching and rewinding :teeth:

My DS age 10 still can't do it. He has severe ADHD (we suspected from preschool age, but didn't worry about it until school problems in 2nd grade and then had him tested).

My DS age 3 started watching entire movies right around 2nd birthday........maybe just a bit before.

I don't have any daughters!

I'm a nanny, so I have had 7 different kids when they were toddler/preschool age. Most of them could sit through a movie in the theater by the time they were between 2 & 3. But sitting through a DVD at home is different because they are more likely to get up and walk away. My current charge is exactly 2 yr. 6 mo. and I took him to Curious George last week. He was fabulous, sat there and watched the whole thing. But at home he doesn't like movies for more than a couple of minutes. His sister is 4 and she LOVES movies, but she likes to have things explained to her as they go along. I watched Cinderella with her the day it came out on DVD and she had questions about EVERYTHING! She will also sit through Mary Poppins, which I find mind numbing. ;)

My daughter turned 2 on Sunday and she has been watching Toy Story 1, 2, and Monsters Inc. in entirety since she was 20 months old. She'll also watch Bear in the Big Blue house DVDs which are about the same length but there is a break every 30 mintues between episodes. She won't really watch any other movies though, we've tried Bambi, Ice Age, Incredibles, and couple of others but she has no interest. But if Bear, Buzz, or Sully are in it, she'll sit and watch it without a sound.
