Yes, Spring and Summer are coming!

Okay, I am looking at one-piece suits, and I am vertically challenged. I would say that most would be long in the torso for me.

I wonder if any of you might know any of the major makers that might not be so long in the torso?
I am looking at one by Kenneth Cole, and one by Carmen Marc Valvo.

I am land-locked in a smaller town here, so def. can't go see and try these in person!

I have the opposite problem and don't feel too comfortable in bikinis these days so the above work for me.

Hey... I live in the South... And, no matter when, they ARE coming!!!

I do have a couple of Speedo one-pieces, and they so seem shorter!
They are getting old! They are a style that was discontinued years ago.
But most of their sporty more athletic styles do NOT seem to acknowledge the fact that a woman actually does have breasts!!!!

I know! I would like to add an athletic suit to my collection but none have support on top. I buy the Lands End tankinis. You can size them by your cup size and they have underwire.

I have looked at like ALL of the women's one-pieces on the major online sites. And, most of them are just the opposite. FULL coverage and sometimes 'matronly'.
I want a one-piece for a bit of coverage for this belly, and the look. But, that doesn't mean I want 3 lb.s of spandex covering me from my hips to my shoulders.
Maybe I will do some searches focused on Juniors suits, and see if any of them are not too cheap and super-skimpy. Like 'stripper' monokinis!

*sigh* I would love to have a body type where I could just order a suit online. I did just buy a new tankini/shorts set at Meijer yesterday because we are going to one of our local indoor water parks tonight. I'll stock up in another month or so for the summer when they get their full stock in.

I also recommend Land's End. I also recommend trying the tankinis. Most of the tops are pretty long and don't ride up. I have the opposite a long torso so one pieces are hard for me but the tankinis work great.

Yes to Lands's End. I often order several different ones. You can return the ones you don't want to Sears, unless something has changed. I loathe going to the post office, so that's a big help to me.

Every swimsuit I have that I love is Land's End.

I even have a few of theirs that are techincally two-piece mix & match, but with all the comfort/coverage of a one piece.

DW prefers tankinis (short torso) to one pieces mainly because of potty breaks - especially when wearing a life jacket

I bought a swim suit from www.uvskinz.com last year and I LOVE it. I got a tankini though so I can't comment on how long they are in the torso. They seemed to have a decent selection.

A properly fitting Speedo/ Athletic suit will not have ANY support. The purpose of an athletic suit it streamline of the body for hydrodynamics. No no bra or underwire support. I am a 34DD and my favourite suits are racing Speedos. To me the are the most comfortable. the tighter the better, but that's just the former racer in me.

Anyone ever seen suits by Forever 21 (I know... I know!!!)
Just ran across this one that has an underwire bra-top and is NOT 'matronly'.
The model, of course, is taller... But, it actually looks like the suit/torso is short on her. I might be able to pull this one off.

Another vote for Lands End. They're well made, they're made for real women, and they have a huge variety of styles.

Would you consider a tankini? Theirs don't gap, so it looks like a tank, but it solves the "short in the torso" issue.

And if the fit or the style isn't right, they can be returned either at Lands End by mail, or at your local Sears if there is one.
