Ladies, I need your opinions on ball gowns(several choices included)

I'd have to say that my favorites are the black criss-crossy one (despite the hazard caused by the train...LOL), and the last one. I absolutely ADORE the last one. I love the color and the style! :thumbsup2

LOL strapless dresses don't fall down. I have a couple of them. Gravity, push up bras, and double sided tape is a wonderful thing.

I have special chicken cutlets that I wear with the halter/vneck styles.

I really don't know that I want the short one because it just doesn't seem formal enough. Only 1 and 2 can come in different colors. The others are pictures in the colors they come in.

I'm not sure I would look good in gold though it is a beauitful dress in person. Can you tell I'm having difficulty choosing? Thanks for the thoughts keep themp coming.

I like #2, the brown one the best, but they are all beautiful.

LOL...Oh Tag Fairy...:rolleyes1

I love the purple one, but they are all beautiful.

I like 4 - I think it would be the most flattering plus the matching wrap is always nice to have.

I like #2 but might be to A-line and not move well (color is great)
so i'll go with #4 looks like it would be better to dance/move in

I like the first red dress and the purple one! I love color, so often everyone plays it safe with black. I really like the shorter dresses, but they look more cocktail party than formal ball.

what fun! it's so much more fun to shop for dressy stuff than tee shirts and jeans.

I love the purple and gold ones. I think the halter style would look good on any body shape, and the colors would really stand out!

I like #1 or #2 but it depends on what looks best when you try them on. What works best with you hair and skin color and body.

:bday: party: :bday: party: :bday: party:

Dresses: I love #1 and #4!!!

I like the last one. And the first one, if it had the little straps like the teenage girl's. :thumbsup2

My favorites are the 1st and last ones. :)

I'd stay away from #3 even though it is really nice. Dresses that are cut on the bias (and it looks like this one is) can be difficult to carry off. If it's not cut on the bias, then I do like it. Also I would stay away from the shorter ones, I don't think those are very ball-like.

I like #2 or #4 in gold.

Just some notes: The cut of all of the halter gowns (all but #1) emphasizes the shoulders and especially their size, so you need to decide if that's the choice you want to make. A V is always more slimming than a square neckline or a scoop. A wider strap is usually more slimming than a narrow strap. A strapless usually adds visual width. Anything with a bias cut is a nightmare to wear unless you have a perfect figure.

The question is how do YOU look in those style gowns?
