Ladies, I need your opinions on ball gowns(several choices included)

The round of military balls will start before I know it. I'm going to get one new one to put into circulation. What do you think of the choices? Anything particularly grab your attention? I dont know how to make a poll or I would. We might have to do round robin to make some choices.

I like the 3rd one...the long black one. They're all really nice though!

I vote for the second. I'm never comfortable in strapless styles myself and I like the halter on this one without the waist being as high as the others. My second favorite is the next to the last picture (the gold and purple dresses). It may be more figure flatering. You may not be interested in other choices but Watters and Watters has a great selection of formal wear on their website.

I have to say you have to try them on. What looks good on a hanger just never looks the same on me.

#2 and #4 get my votes. Although they are all gorgeous! The only one I didn't like quite as well was the short one. For a formal ball, I think a full-length gown is best.

The third one looks hazardous. People would be stepping on that mini train all night long causing you some serious whip-lash. All of the other dresses look cute, but I would veto the third one.

I like #4 in the purple. DD just bought a similar gown. It looks fabulous on. She's a bigger girl and with the band just under the bust line and the skirt falling to the floor it made her look wonderful.

I like the 4th (the purple/plum? color one) one the best.

I like the 3rd one too I'm iffy if I like the style in the back.

They are all nice.

I like the 4th choice. I like the purple but if you want to also wear it in spring or summer I would chose the gold.

They are all very nice, but for some reason the second one jumped out at me (The brown/champagne one). But any one of those would be just lovely!

I really like #2 but I'm also not a fan of long gowns but then again I've never been to a ball.

I love the cut of the red -but I am afraid of having to pull it up all night.
I like all of them. The first brown one is really nice.
What about the bra situation? Do the halter ones have built in bra cups?
I will do anything to avoid uncomfortable underwear!

I like all of them except the short ones.. The black one with the train is so dramatic, you will certainly turn heads in that one!

I also like the first one, but I would be afraid it would fall down on me! Maybe it could come with the spaghetti straps like the ones on the young girls.

I miss going to nice dress-up parties..have fun!

Tough choice. The 2nd, 3rd and the last one I like the best. I cant pick a favorite between them. They would all look great on you.
