Ladies? Blue or White??? :o)

Well, I have to admit I like the way my dh looks in a pair of jeans too. But after building 3 houses I have to say none of the construction guys, electricians, painters or plumbers did it for me like the expensive suits I see at the Clinic. ;)
Hmm well I was thinking more of Police Officer, Fire Fighter, etc. for the blue collar category, not some of the scary people I saw working on my house.

DH is a little bit of both--which I love. He has a white collar job as a computer network guy which means he wears a tie to work most days but also has days where he's on site and wears jeans. Plus, he can fix anything around the house which is a definite plus in my book!

Yes they are!! "Pretty" men are very high maintenence, classy dressers and well, just pretty.

Chicks are pretty, men are handsome. Call any straight man 'pretty' and he'll slug ya. :teeth:

Metrosexual is a term for guys who are guys, but still take pride in their appearance. Since I worked construction to get through college and still work on cars/boats can I be considered a 'red-neck metrosexual' ? :rotfl:

White collar all the way. I've got a white collar DH with a heart of gold also.

I HATE the word Metrosexual. Doesn't that just mean they are gay but haven't realized it yet :rotfl: Seriously, I am just kidding but that word bugs me.

Both! My dh is a fireman, and while the uniform does nothing for me, when I see him in his turnouts... I also love seeing him in his medic uniform with all his little gadgets hanging everywhere. And don't even get me started on construction workers! :lovestruc So maybe I'm more blue than white! :flower:

Pretty men? My DH is a white collar but he thinks nothing of working around the house in a pair of old sweats and holy t shirt. You are talking about a metrosexual. They have nothing to do with blue or white. My DS has a kid in his group that would fall into the redneck metrosexual! LOL!

My dh doesn't use more product than me. I think of white collar as just a guy in a suit with his hair combed. Not necessarily the guy that gets manicures and waxes his eyebrows. :rotfl:

Exactly. DH wears suits everyday. It isn't because he particularly wants to. He is a VP in his company and that is what is expected. When he gets home he changes into his scruffy clothes! He has never had a manicure in his life and wouldn't know what do with "products". He uses shampoo and conditioner and doesn't even blowdry his hair. Products indeed! LOL!

I like blue collar, my dh is one.
Heck all the men I know are blue collar, even my doctor is a blue jeans and t-shirt guy. But each one of them cleans ups nice and still looks good. :goodvibes

Ever watch the show "Monster House" ?? YUMMMM! Seeing all those boys testosterone pumping, working together gets to me something silly. And that host, Steve!?!? GOOD HEAVENS! (where did the FAINT smiley go?!?!?)

My fiance would actually get a smidge *jealous* when I'd watch that show! :rotfl:

Ooh, definitely white collar for me! I lived in Paris when I was (much) younger, and my friends and I used to sit at a cafe just outside the Bourse and check out the stock brokers as they went for lunch! :rotfl2:

The first time I saw DH he was wearing a dark suit and he looked absolutely drop-dead gorgeous... :cloud9: He doesn't have to wear a jacket and tie for work anymore (just trousers and shirt) and I must admit I sort of miss it...

I never thought about it, but now that I do, defiantely blue. I love my man to be very "manly". I've dated white collar guys and you know they never seemed very manly to me and that turned me off. NOt to offend anyone with white collar honeys because there is something to be said for a nice, clean smart man raking in the dough, but that's not what turns "me" on. :earboy2:

I'm trying to picture this, but I just can't wrap my brain around this one! :rotfl2:

To answer the OP's question, white collar for me!

I learned two things about us red-neck metros today:
1) Don't like being called purty
2) Don't have pics of ourselves.
:confused3

Got plenty of pics of the dogs and nekkid babes, but none of my ugly self.... :teeth:

There is something definitley appealing about a blue collar man--something that seems wholesome and very manly, but I still mostly swing white collar.

I love my doughy suburban IT manager! :teeth:

I like them both--I have a soft spot for blue collar guys-my dad was a mechanic, my brother is a police officer and my other brother is a carpenter.

I think I got the best of both worlds..
My husband is a property controller(accountant) for a large commercial real estate firm and does the whole wearing suits, commuting into NYC thing..but he is also a LT in the fire dept so he comes home, takes off the suit and turns into my blue collar fireman. :firefight

I think he looks hotter in jeans and a Tshirt than a suit..more manly...but I am alos very proud of him for having the job he does. He worked his butt off for his degree and I am glad he is using it.
