I don’t understand the heat complaints about Disney Springs. You don’t have to eat outdoors, and walking to a restaurant is going to require less time in the heat than walking around the theme parks all trip long.
Personally I would not be schlepping across property to eat at another resort on departure day when the goal is to be at the airport by 3. Especially not a monorail resort. Factoring in transportation time there and back, and the time it takes to actually have the meal, is cutting it a bit close to me. I would be too stressed out about time to enjoy myself. And all to eat at restaurants that quite frankly aren’t as good as the lineup right next door to OKW at DS. Just does not make sense to me.
OP, 2015 was ten years ago. A slew of excellent restaurants have opened at DS since the last time you were there. I don’t get staying at OKW and not taking advantage of that. Especially if the knock against it is you don’t really care for shopping—tbh, that’s all you’re going to be able to do at another resort with the time constraints, you won’t really have time for the activities.
