Lack of FP+ options

All of you who have trips around June 29-July 3 are in unique situations based on how the 4th of July holiday falls. Many people who are going that week are arriving earlier than you and staying longer so if they are also back loading their trip for certain parks (like seems to be the trend) they have already gobbled up the FP+ for those certain parks before you can use your 60+3/4 advantage because they were at 60+6/7 instead. It is just bad luck based on how the weeks falls. I do not believe those days are indicative of a trend. People have had some success at 60+3/4 (not ideal times) for those same certain parks on previous weeks.

I agree with you. We are July 1-6 and have been tracking fastpasses to try to determine which parks to schedule. It was looking really good for a couple days then bam—June 28 FP day came and messed it up big. It’s a disappointing addition to a trip already riddled with disappointment. I’m starting to want to just give up and cancel but I’d lose money on military tickets . We just can’t go on long trips with our schedules. This is actually the longest trip we’ve ever scheduled.

I did Fast Pass right at 7am. I got splash mountain, big thunder for morning of 60+4 and Mine train was avail at 2:15 no morning at all. We booked FOP at noon on 60+6 and Safari at 10 and Kali at 2. I am a rescheduled trip was supposed to be in April. I too was hesitant about what to do and where to book. In April, we planned on EMH for MK and hopping to AK w fast passes for afternoon. Then another day FP at HS w hopes of boarding group and hopping to Epcot. With not knowing if Epcot will be open, if there will be virtual queues, or if there even will be boarding groups we just went with morning FP. A little sad as we hoped to try to get boarding group but I just don’t want to deal with securing fast passes to find that changed boarding group system or worse- park not even open. We start our trip June 27-July 4. We put all our parks on July 1 and July 3. Not what I wanted to do but I have read so much on this board about possible operating procedures. So I try to do the best what I get with the rumors and ideas about opening. I just really hope they open June 1 for locals. So that this non local can come on June 27.

I'm not worried about the RoTR BG situation. I think it's going to be entirely different when the parks re-open. We'll have to hustle on our plans then. The crowd it drew who all needed to be there at the same time are not going to be ok in this COVID environment...

How many in your party? We are a party of four. The FOP I could get at 60+5 was in the evening.

I did get a Smugglers at 5pm for July 3rd when I tried again yesterday. I have done it before and really didn’t love it, would have rather had SDD or FOP.


I know our week is a busy week so I went in with pretty low expectations.

Since booking fastpasses last week, I was able to update Na'vi and get FOP on 60+1 in the afternoon. I usually check once a day and know that I got lucky, but it is worth checking if you don't get what you want on your FP day. Still can't get that elusive 5:30pm spot at Sci Fi Cafe, though!

Had to wait for my mid-May tickets to officially update to the 12/15 expiration, in order to book FPs for a (hopeful) June 17th Galaxy's Edge / HS day. Since it's a short trip, I'd only be booking at 60+1 anyways so I was hoping waiting for ~45 days wouldn't make a significant difference in "good" FP availability.

Of course, no Tier 1s and limited availability for other preferred Tier 2s at any decent times. Booked a noon-ish RnRC & refreshed a few times. Then checked an hour later and hit a 10:10am SDD! Success! (Party of 2)

I checked availability for June 1 this morning and all Tier 1s at Epcot were available. The only unavailable one at AK was FOP. Everything but 7DMT and BTMRR was available at MK. ToT and RnR have afternoon/evening availability. Is it possible that Disney released more FPs for June?

Availability was decent for the first week of July. Headliners were few and far between for the first few days but I was able to get FoP and Runaway Railway for the last two days of my weeklong trip. It felt about normal for a holiday week.

Our AK day is 180+3 and couldn't get FOP. Besides that, things seemed very llimited, but were able to get what we wanted. Didn't try for 7 Dwarves, but got MMRR + 5 and MFSR +6.

My FastPass day was today for our trip July 2-15. I got everything I wanted. I had to modify a few to get the times I wanted, and break our group of 10 into smaller groups a few times, but I am happy with what I got.

When I make my FP selections, should I just scramble to get the single tier 1 hard-to-get FP for each day and then go back and populate with the tier 2's? In the past, I've always just chosen all 3 for a day and then moved to another day, but y'all have me worried that extra time will cost me. Just want to make sure I CAN just make 1 per day and go back to add the other 2.

Yes, you can do 1 or 2 and go back later to add the other one(s).

My short trip starts June 24. Last Saturday right on time, I wasn’t able to get much. Yesterday, I was able to modify and snagged MMRR, 7DMT, Big Thunder Mountain, and Peter Pan. I had been looking all week, but yesterday for some reason all the good ones popped up. I’m still looking for FoP, but overall happy with what I have now.

I make a list of the order I need to book my fastpasses. I start with the hardest to get that are earliest in the trip. Then I move onto hard to get later in the trip, and lastly I go in order from beginning of the trip to the end with all of the easier to get fastpasses. Good luck!

This is what I do also. I have my list with the name of the FP and the date I want to schedule it, usually starting with the last few days of my trip and moving forward. I've also had to rearrange days to get certain FP, but it's usually just swapping out one of the other hard to get FP days and I usually have good luck with it. My FP day is this coming saturday so we'll see how my usual method works out for our 8 day trip.

It looked like all FPs were available for me today at 60+ at 7am...was able to get Slinky, Minnie +Mickeys were available but at a really late time so I went with Slinky, I got seven dwarfs, Frozen at Epcot, and Safari...only couldn't see any availability for FOP
