Lack of FP+ options

Are you seeing that park hours are no longer on MDE.

Not sure if unique to me but yesterday my app was acting all sorts of weird. A lot of the normal menus were gone (including the park hours), functionality was really limited, etc. I deleted and reinstalled the app and things went back to normal. YMMV.

Anyone got updates? It's now 4th of July booking week. Very curious on how things are going for what is typically a very busy time.

I would love to know for which days and times you were able to get MMRR, MF and Slinky, FoP, and SDMT. The reduced availability we are seeing means difficulty getting these headliners within the first 5 days or so.

Well... this morning was my 60, got on right at 7am..
We aren't actually doing any park on day 60..
So:
Day 61: Animal Kingdom: VERY limited. Almost nothing for the morning. No tier 1 availability
Managed to get Dinosaur at 11:40, River Rapids at 12:45 and Safari at 2:30... planned on doing morning only, so probably wouldn't even use the Safari FP.

Day 62: DHS -- pretty limited. No Tier 1s, limited Tier 2s. But did ok: Star Tours at 9:35, Twilight Zone at 12:05, come back at night for TSM at 7:00 pm

Things were better with Epcot on Day 63 and day 64. Got good Tier 1's both days. Of course, with Spaceship Earth still listed as closed, there is almost nothing good for a Tier 2.

Day 65 night at Animal Kingdom: Got what I wanted, when I wanted, including FOP
Day 66:-Day 68, are all DHS FP days (may do other parks without FP) -- Mostly got what I wanted. Runaway Train still had some limited availability but got it on Day 67.

Observation: I may have had better luck on and after July 1st, just because it's day 64... but it also may be that they are making more FPs available for July dates than June dates.

............. ANYWAY... that was fun for no reason. My flight has already been cancelled for Covid, so I need to cancel or re-book the Disney trip.

Out of curiosity, could you possibly check for how Splash is looking? The Dibb doesn't track it and its a must do ride for us, and those are the beginning of our trip dates

Splash was completely gone on day one of our June trip, but I kept looking. Since I first booked, it has shown up several times. I was able to get one for 2:45 (that’s arrival day so I didn’t want it any earlier- I have seen it for earlier in the day).

When I first booked fastpasses at 60 days, day 1 at MK was bad. Was only able to get Jungle Cruise, Meet Mickey, and Haunted Mansion. I have since traded them out and found Splash, Space, and Peter Pan for our day 1.

The only thing that has been near impossible to get was BTMRR and SDMT. I found BTMRR once, but it was in the morning, and we wouldn’t be there yet. SDMT showed up once or twice, but only for 8 pm or later.

Could be just a game now since they could very well cancel my trip. But I like the game.

MMRR was on our last day, 60+6. 12:10 was the first time available which really isn't terrible. SDD on 60+5 was also around 12:20, but I might try to modify it.

i'll own we did not get a FP for any of the avatar rides. My partner has watched all the FOP videos and has said there is no way he can do it (he has BAD motion sickness). Plenty of availability for Navi though. We plan to rope drop Safari so no fastpass for it though we could have had one easy.

We also didn't get 7DMT, but that's because we have a PPO breakfast at BOG one morning, and early magic hour morning another day so we feel very comfortable that we will make it on.

i had no problem getting BTMRR for either Monday June 29th or Wednesday the 1st, but we chose Wednesday for earlier times. Peter Pan was what surprised me most. Tons of availability starting right at 9:10, even 15 minutes after we started booking.
We got everything before noon/in the noon hour.

one screwup we made was B (my partner) booked our EPCOT passes for Saturday instead of Sunday, and by the time we went back to fix Sunday, Frozen passes were 12:30 or later. I'll probably try to modify this one the most. We are also visiting EPCOT 3 other days so we'll pry standby on TT or try and pick it up as a 4th FP.
No Soarin' or Mission Space for us (see B's motion sickness above) but both were easy to get.

Honestly 7DMT was the worst availability I saw all week. Yes MMRR and SDD need 60+ a few days, but they were there. 7DMT was all over the map. On Monday I could get it at 5, but Wednesday not until 8:30 PM!
Anyways. We are super thrilled with our FP selections!

i may be new at this, but i wouldnt say any part of this experience was a struggle or bad or that any day of our trip seemed to have massively limited quantities or totally full rides or only late night times. It seemed relatively easy to get everything and it was all available early in the day

Just booked FP+ for 6/27-7/5. Not great but not as bad as I expected.

60- Late arrival
AK - 60+1 - Not going until afternoon. FoP not available. Everything else with afternoon times we wanted.
EP - 60+2 - everything with morning times
MK - 60+3 - PPF late morning, 7D evening
HS - 60+4 - Runaway Railway or Slinky evening
AK - 60+5 - FoP mid-afternoon
MK - 60+6 - 7D mid-afternoon
EP - 60+7 - Everything at times we wanted
HS - 60 +8 - Everything at time we wanted

We will continue to attempt to modify. However, based on past trips, this reflects a reduction in number of FP+, IMO.

My FP day was today too. I wasn't that into it because of the uncertainty of everything. I was on right at 6:00 CT and noted the following:

Day 61 - Couldn't get SDMT or BTMRR (<-- weird, but I've seen others mention it)
Day 62 - No Tier 1 availability at all at HS
Day 64 - FoP -- had quite a few to choose from
Day 65 - Had some HS Tier 1 times available for each one
Day 66 - Was able to get SDMT and BTMR

Even though I didn't get a FP for it, I saw more FEA availability than I thought there would be.

Booked our fastpasses this morning without a lot of enthusiasm, so different from every other time this day arrived. We have a long trip this time so we eventually got everything we wanted, but the first 4-5 days was tough going. After that it was wide open. I'll be so glad when they finally make a decision about opening.

Interesting thought.....if this is Disney's plan, it could explain the reduction in Fastpasses available.

I was able to get Tier 1 at HS over Spring Break (just as busy) at 60+1 for HS. It was end of night but still something. I do think it is crazy that at 60+2 you can not get at least one of the Tier 1.

edit: I got my SDD Tier 1 when there was only two options SDD or MFSR. So in theory there should be more to go around. The long term issue my start to involve Toy Story Mania and Alien Saucers since those are many people's go to number 2s

Excellent news! Definitely sounds like the early June FP squeezes are going out of the system by the end of June to a decent extent.

With 3 Tier 1 attractions to choose from, at least one of those should've had some kind of availability at Day 62 under normal circumstances. There should be no reason I couldn't get any BTMRR FPs on Day 61, for example. I've been going around the same time of year (and one spring break trip) for a few years with FP+ and have never seen that lack of availability for certain things. Something's fishy, for sure.

I've said since about 5 pages back. I think the BTMRR is because it was supposed to be under refurb and now thats massively up in the air so they are restricting it to the extreme because they don't want to hand out a bajillion multiple experience FP's if/when it is closed.

I guess I just don't get this. SDD has long been one of the hottest FPs. MFSR and MMRR are of course huge. FOP has long been impossible to get day 1 or 2 or even 3 sometimes. Tons of people rebooking, plus this week being the week the original free dining starts? I just can't get behind it being so out of the norm.

I did Fast Pass right at 7am. I got splash mountain, big thunder for morning of 60+4 and Mine train was avail at 2:15 no morning at all. We booked FOP at noon on 60+6 and Safari at 10 and Kali at 2. I am a rescheduled trip was supposed to be in April. I too was hesitant about what to do and where to book. In April, we planned on EMH for MK and hopping to AK w fast passes for afternoon. Then another day FP at HS w hopes of boarding group and hopping to Epcot. With not knowing if Epcot will be open, if there will be virtual queues, or if there even will be boarding groups we just went with morning FP. A little sad as we hoped to try to get boarding group but I just don’t want to deal with securing fast passes to find that changed boarding group system or worse- park not even open. We start our trip June 27-July 4. We put all our parks on July 1 and July 3. Not what I wanted to do but I have read so much on this board about possible operating procedures. So I try to do the best what I get with the rumors and ideas about opening. I just really hope they open June 1 for locals. So that this non local can come on June 27.
