I believe you can see Illuminations from some areas inside, but they are limited. But you definately have a better chance of seeing Illuminations there than San Angel.

We have a dinner ADR there in May, and it will be our first time at LHdSA. I am curious about the view from there as well, as that is one of our main reasons for eating there (but I am very excited about trying it!). I was told that requests are taken a the podium, not at booking.

The viewing there was great. We could finally see the images on the globe which was nice and the show was great. It was nice to be able to ejoy a great meal and the beautiful Illuminations!

The whole restaurant is surrounded by glass windows (the best example I can give is: set up is a lot of Coral Reef where all tables can see the tanks but some are closer). There are like lines (rows of tables) there are some right next to the window, then you have two lines of middle tables then you have a back wall tables. We sat in the far middle table near the wall and we had great viewing. I am sure you could ask to be seated by the window if you want to but it is not guaranteed. The only time we couldn't see something was when a table near the window let their child stand on the window ledge of the window for a few minutes. They were taking pictures of the fireworks so we did not say anything.

Food is mediocre at best. Margaritas are not worth it at all. They are very sweet. Service is great though.

We just got back and ate at La hacienda when we were there. EXCELLENT food! Best black beans I have ever had and I've had quite a lot. They have some sort of corn that comes with the flank steak and it was soooo good! I would highly recommend this restaurant. I can't wait to take my husband next time. I don't see how you can be disappointed.

It was amazing. I was so happy I ordered it. We went there and just kind of let our server be our guide to what was good and he more than did a good job. It was amazing. The sizes were very generous as well.

Hope you have a wonderful trip and enjoy it as much as I did.

Katieam1: great pics - thanks for sharing bc those were a lot of the places we want to try! How was the food at Tony's? Decent or blah? I see you're from Verona is it as good as the spaghetti from Spaghetti Factory near Sylvan Beach?

I ate there with DH and another couple in September for their soft opening - it was one of our best meals on our trip! Service was superb, food was great, and the margaritas were outstanding. I loved the shrimp tacos and rose margarita - YUM!!! Everyone I was with loved it.

I would request. The table my brother and I sat at had no viewing of Illuminations. There are tables right at the window, though, and when we went they were accepting walk ups... so I would absolutely request a window seat for the show! Food was amazing. Service was so so. I'd definitely go there again though.
