LA County implementing new Vaccine Passport, thoughts on whether I am interpreting this list to cover someone like me that has Astra/Pfizer:

You are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 two weeks after:

• You got a Johnson & Johnson (J&J)/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine, or
• You got a second dose of a Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, or
• You finished the series of a COVID-19 vaccine that has been listed for emergency use by the World Health Organization [WHO]

Technically, no. I am in the same boat as you. You had one dose of AZ and dose 1 of Pfizer (as your second vaccine dose) but it was not 2 doses of Pfizer. WHO would need to list AZ/Pfizer as acceptable before we would qualify.

You would need either two doses of AZ or two doses of Pfizer. A mixed dose series of AZ and one of the mRNA (either Pfizer or Moderna) is not currently recognized by the WHO as fully vaccinated as it isn't a "complete series" of either of the two vaccines.

The "second dose of a Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine" referred to is the second of two doses of a Pfizer or Moderna vaccine series, they just wrote it a little sloppily.

In Alberta they will let you complete the series of Pfizer or Moderna if you had the mix.

In Quebec too. I did that. I had Az/Pfizer and got a second Pfizer shot.

Manitoba just announced yesterday that we will be allowed to get a third vaccine to qualify us as "fully vaccinated" for travel purposes. We have to get a prescription from our doctor first, called my Doctor today and they knew nothing about it of course. lol She is calling me Monday, so hopefully she will give me a prescription so I can get this done! (I am AZ/Pfizer).

I’m getting impatient waiting to hear what they will be doing for us in Ontario in the AZ/MRNA boat. I don’t mind waiting until other more important priority groups get to go , I just want to hear that they will eventually offer us a booster to complete the series. I’m sure they will eventually but it’s just another unknown and I’m really tired of unknowns.

It's the same here in BC. Earlier this week they announced they will allow severely immuno compromised people (about 15,000) to get a third shot but absolute silence on those of us who would like a third one for travel. I suspect we are several months away from a third one here in BC.

What I find interesting, was the vaccine doses were given to each province based prorated by population, so the fact that some provinces have "extra" to give out now is interesting. However looking at AB numbers, I can see why they have extra unfortunately.

I’m so sorry to all of you. I had a bad feeling. I got my second Pfizer easily but it took a little hunting for my DS 19 to find it only a couple days longer but the wrath I felt for “ vax shopping “ was awful .

So my paperwork (Ontario) just says I have had 2 doses and says my second was Pfizer. It doesn't actually say anywhere what the first one was.

What does yours say?

BC’s card lists both doses individually. Says Astra/Pfizer.

if you go to THIS WEBPAGE and scroll down to where there's a box to check that you agree to the terms you will land on a page that lets you enter your health card info and then you will get the correct information about both doses that you can either download to your phone or print out. This is what you'll need to use starting Wednesday to enter certain businesses.

That’s what I did.

You mean they want us to carry both pieces of paper? Not just the second, which says it’s the second dose (implying there was a first dose)?

And do you just download the PDF or take a photo or is there an app you’re supposed to use, if you don’t want to carry paper?

Nope, you just need to carry the second.

For those who are printing off the copy of your vaccine record. I changed the printer setting to print 4 pages per page (ie. shrinking it down). The copy is still legible but a lot easier to fit into my wallet. No way was I going to carry around two 8x11 sheets of paper in my wallet.

I was going to do that, but DH worried someone would think it was tampered with. I wish they’d just send us cards , like Manitoba does. Then again, I don’t want to wait 6 weeks for a card in the mail, either.
