Kooky Pens--- Who Kids have them

Or anyone lovely kiddies into collecting them. My DS just started uses his money to buy them and he now has 17 of these things. They seem to be a big thing in the school.. You know, buy and trade with your friends ect..
I did a little research and found out they have been around since 2004, never seen them here before until about 2 months ago..

So anyone else having this new craze at their house??

my kids have a bunch... they loved them until they were "outlawed" at school. A few too many trades gone bad I suppose.

Are they short and have sort of a koosh ball hairdo? I got one as a gift and they are really cute.

My DD has one she hangs off her backpack. She has not mentioned collecting them - and I am not gonna bring it up!!! Webkinz are enough!

My daughter collected them awhile ago- this school year they are not as popular as they were last year.

I googled them because I wanted to see what the fuss was about, they are cute. I haven't seen them in any store around here though. I'm in the Detroit area.

My daughter has about five of them. They are cute but they do seem to run out of ink quickly.

They have the pens at Bed, Bath and Beyond, and Hallmark stores, as well as Limited Too.

MY Ds has 17 at the moment and they go to school with him all the time - all the kids are trading them.. Wonderful, they sell them in Disney just what I need to be on vacation and bugged to buy kookie pens.... I know where he spending money will go.. ha ha ha.
He really wants the Pirate series though and we can't find them anywhere.
five below had a lot of odd ones we dont' normally see.. but no pirates or Sports kookys.. Oh yes the Hockey one is a BIG MUST HAVE for him.

We have been collecting for a while now. Have you seen the Disney ones? Awesome! If you know of any one in the Orlando area, Please PM me so I can possibly ask if they can send me some. I will pay of course

I am not really familiar with them, but I got a Pluto one at MouseGear the other day. It's a cute little pen, but the clip on top bugs me.

I just realized there are the official kkokies and then there are "Krew" that don't have the sticker - do the kids care? I bought two of both (BOGO) - I got the "Krews" at FYE.

2 years ago my seniors had them, one boy would clip them to his shirt and make them go round and round like tassels. Hilarious, but not appropriate for school!

I didn't know they were the "thing" but I did buy one for DS 19 for his stocking. I bought it at Limited Too while getting things for DD's stocking
