Just wanting to make sure I read this correctly. At Kona, during dinner, is it possible to order sushi from Kona Island Sushi Bar as an appetizer, then a Kona Cafe entree and dessert. I am on the DxDP.

Yes, you can order sushi at a table in Kona. Just ask for a sushi menu. We did this a month ago.
Although I do not know if you can get sushi as an app on the dining plan. I don't think you can since we have had the dining plan before (not this past trip) and it was never an offer by our server. You can pay out of pocket for it.

If you are on the deluxe plan, sushi does not count as an appetizer, only an entree. I tried that in May. You would be better off paying for the sushi OOP as it is not a good value for the dining plan as a main entree. The Cali Grill lets you get sushi as an app on the Deluxe plan and oh my it is wonderful!
