Do they compare at all? I have an AR for LC, am wondering if we should try Kona instead. The menu at Kona does look good!

As this is my first trip, is it going to be a pain to ride the monorail to the Poly and then back? Will it be too time consuming? We will be in Epcot for 2 evenings only (we have a 5 and 2 yr old, that should be enough for us).

Any thoughts?

PS--We will be there in Oct. for the free dining, so the $$ is not a problem--how nice to be able to say that!

If you are going to be at Epcot, I'd say do LeCellier. We love the place. It's our favorite place to eat in the World. It will take some time to monorail to TTC and then walk to Poly and back. I would save Kona for a MK trip. Then you just hop the resort monorail and it takes you right to Poly.

Well I like Kona better but if you really want to spend that night at Epcot I think I would stick with Le Cellier. It isn't as smooth to hop on the monorail as you might think. You will need to switch monorail at the Transportation Center- walk down a ramp walk over up another ramp(I say this because doing that carrying a 20 pound baby was no picnic) then one monorail stop to the Poly- But I would say it could take around half an hour to do the trip there. I don't know if you are willing to waste an hour in travel to get to eat or how much time you have.
If you go to Kona get the Mahi Mahi DELICIOUS!! or the Teriyaki steak also delish!!

Since you are on the dining plan, I sat LC definitely! That was one of our best meals this trip. I agree with the previous poster that the trip might take 30 minutes easily to get to the Poly. We ate at Kona and loved it, but we were staying there so travel was not an issue.

I'd stick with Le Cellier. Even though you aren't paying for it, you get a "more expensive" meal at Le Cellier and it's a little more upscale. The steaks are great, particularly both filet options. If you are going to be in Epcot anyway it seems a much better use of time to have a great meal right there, rather than to travel to the Poly.

Not that Kona isn't very good............and the Koko Puffs warrant a trip there alone.........but of the two we much prefer Le Cellier for dinner.

We ate at Le Cellier once and Kona Cafe numerous times. I definitely prefer Kona.
