Kona Cafe breakfast

Hi all!! We never eaten at Kona Cafe for breakfast before. We are staying at the poly this September and are thinking of trying it. My question is though, would you recommend reservations for breakfast for 5 people? We have always done dinner ADRs but I'm not sure how busy it gets for breakfast.

It is always safe to have adrs just in case. They are easy to come by so it isn't something that books fast. I like the reassurance of having a reservation, so that I am seated on time and not waiting just in case it is busy. I love Kona for breakfast! I just booked a 7:30am adr just for myself during my trip, before heading to the parks and meeting up with my friends.. They aren't early birds like me, so I booked a few early breakfasts for just myself to start my day.

I agree, it is best to be safe. You should be OK going in September. I forget to make reservations sometimes, we still get a table, but have to wait.
Have fun--the Tonga Toast is the best, IMO.

We LOVE Kona breakfast. Much better than Ohana. We always have a reservation, but have never seen the restaurant full. With that said, we usually eat fairly early, by 8am the latest. I suggest making an ADR and if you want to eat earlier, go up and ask, or if you want to eat later, give them a call.

My ressie is also for September . Free dining period, so it might be more crowded than usual. This is my first free dining trip, so I dont know what to expect.

Definitely make an ADR, it will decrease chances of waiting to be seated. My hubby asks to go there every trip since he loves the tonga toast!!

Had several 7:30 ADR's last November for breakfast. Usually full by 8-8:30 am. Very popular for breakfast, which was GREAT! Kona press pot coffee was a wonderful way to start the morning.

First, good choice with Kona. I'm not even a big breakfast fan and was blown away by Kona.

For an ADR as others have said it is advisable, but doesn't have to be done way in advance. We've booked it day of and not had any issues.

Wonderful thank you to all who replied!! I will make an ADR just to be sure I just wasn't sure about what day we would want to go for breakfast there but I'm sure I can figure out a day that would work best!
I'm beyond excited to try those pineapple macadamia nut pancakes!!
