Kohl's Veterans Day Sale 2018

I placed 20 orders last night. Today I get an email that 12 of them have been cancelled and my account locked. When I called to unlock it they told me I exceeded my allotted times I could use the coupons and all my remaining and future orders using the coupons will be cancelled :(

Damn, guess I won't go back to look for orders...3 orders is enough for me...

Wow, I've never heard of them doing that on this sale. I placed 6 online and 1 in the store. Guess I'm done.

I decided to be responsible and wait until after our move to replace the set. This new info helps that decision too.

Well that stinks! I placed 12 orders this morning and 4 have shipped and another 2 I picked up at the store. That's pretty rotten of them to cancel the orders and lock your account.

Can anyone else verify this? Sorry to sound suspicious but this poster just registered on disboards today and this is his only post?

I wondered about this too. I did a little searching and couldn't find mention of this happening to anyone else. It seems like it would fairly easy for Kohl's to put controls in place to prevent codes from being used multiple times. They have to be aware that people are placing multiple orders.

I'll just say that last year I placed over 30 orders. 1 did get canceled, but due to item being out of stock and I was able to place more orders after I received that notification so I just can't imagine that they're limiting it this year.

Well that stinks! I wonder what exactly triggered it - maybe 20 is a magic number? I admit to having come close to that in past years, but never hitting it. I placed 12 orders, and they are all in fulfillment, no signs of cancellation.

I have read that Kohl's fraud detection is not the greatest and what they suspend accounts for or not can be a puzzle sometimes. Any chance you don't use your account much? A sudden influx of 20 orders could have kicked into fraud detection in that situation. I buy a lot from Kohl's so I often have several orders open at once and might not get flagged the same way.

ETA: Just saw the other posts saying it was M. Rich's first post. Good catch! But then again, I don't see why someone would come on here and post that their orders were cancelled without it being the case - I'm not sure what jolly they would get out of that. Well, other than to instill panic in others. Hmmmmmm.

I would think this day and age of technology, if Kohls wanted to block the multiple use of a discount, they could. On other on-line sites I shop on, if you use a code once and try it again, it says this code has already been used. And it's a generic code, not a personal code. I put six orders in yesterday, four of them have already been shipped.

Kohls actually added the discount codes to mine when they didn't start there...so since my kids complained about me ending my Xmas eve pajama tradition yesterday, b/c I told them I had a new surprise (with the socks)...well, I gave in and got 4 nice pajama sets for $34. Since I have to buy 2 adult nightshirts to go with 2 large boy child sizes (which are always the 1st sold out), I probably won't do better Black Friday, so my kids got me in again for 2 more orders...(I heard, "no, I don't wear PJs the other 364 days, but mom, I love spending Xmas all day in my pajamas" - okay, for $8.50, you can:))...

I ended up placing 11 orders for a total of $172. I may or may not be done :) I'm eyeing a 9x13 Fiesta baking dish that *needs* to be in my kitchen. And revisiting my Christmas shopping spreadsheet to see if there is anything else I can get for people on our list.

I put in two orders for 15% and $10 off for one order and plus extra $10 off for home items on the other. I had to spend over $50 for free shipping. I don’t have the Kohl’s cc. Is there no minimum for free shipping with the Kohl’s card? Maybe I’ll consider it getting it since they seem to have 30% off pretty frequently.

No there isn't a minumum -- we get free shipping on any order when we use our Kohls CC -- and also get to use a 30% every time it's active as well.

I have a Kohls CC and I had to spend over $50 to get the free shipping. I was wondering how so many people could place orders and wondered what the heck I was doing wrong. I know I had to get to $50, I was logged in and the little arrow showed me, how much more money I needed to spend to get to $50.00

I did place 2 orders, so I got 30% off each order and $10 for veterans and $10 for home goods, so I saved $40 extra. Which reminds me, I need to print off my Kohls cash.

12 orders placed thus far...8 fully shipped...2 partially shipped...remainder is in fulfillment. And I'm working on placing order #13. This is the first year the sale has run 2 days - that's dangerous to my wallet!!

I suspect the person who had their orders cancelled - IF they really had them cancelled - was abusing the system in other ways as well. Like all 20 orders were for the same item because they are a reseller and Kohl's shut them down for that. Or because they were trying to use KC on the orders as well that they bought off of ebay or something like that.

I'm not big on store credit cards, but the two I have is Target and Kohl's. Those two are both really are worth having. With the Kohl's, you can count on free shipping and a 30% code about every other week or two. They may send you lower value codes, but you can get the higher value codes on Slickdeals and so far they don't block you from using them. Be sure to sign up for the Kohl's Yes to You rewards program also - that gives you KC too.

At this point, I spend so much at Kohl's that I am an "Elite" rewards member and don't even need the free shipping codes - they just give me free shipping all the time now. This Veteran's Day sale is a big reason I reach that Elite level LOL (But I may be in a "test market" for this version of the rewards program so I'm not sure that is a standard benefit yet)

You need to put code in discount mvcfreenov
Really? darn, but I ordered things I needed.
I know on my first order I had 4 discounts, since I had a $5.00 Reward money. They only allow you 4 discounts.

Well all of my 25 orders went thru fine. 24 have shipped and I have 1 for in-store pick-up that I'm getting today.

I used to shop at Kohl's all the time, but just looked and I have only shopped there once since last November. Their Vet Day sale and Black Friday are pretty much "it" for me. We shall see what BF brings (I honestly haven't looked an anyone's ads yet) but I may not even make MVC status this year.
