currently on sale (I’ve seen them often)
Retail 9.99 but always on sale for 2.99
The are called “the big one”
16 colors
My question is.. has anyone bought any? Used one
I’m wondering if the are sand paper?

I have a bunch of them. I like them, but I am not hugely fussy. They do shed a lot the first time that you wash them.

I should admit that I don't like towels that are super plush. I don't feel as if they dry me off well enough.

Thank u

This is exactly me. I just bought more of these towels during the Veterans Day sale. They’re not plush and soft but not sandpaper either. They don’t take forever to dry. At that price I can easily afford to change up the look of my bathroom without spending a lot of money.

I got two little girls who seem to use five towels each..nightly.
Sounds like it’s not gonna break me

A few years back I bought some. They are great. They have held up. The ones I got last year are garbage. The newer ones are thin sort of like a Walmart brand beach towel. They pilled and just don't look right. They still do the job, but I don't leave them out for guests.

Hit or miss. I bought dd purples ones to take to camp 3 or 4 years ago. They are fine. I switched my towels less than a year ago and they faded with washing. No more pretty blue.

I have bought ones that are still going strong, and others that are newer than have already hit the rag bag in the garage... I did notice that the newer ones I had to wash 2 or 3 times by themselves due to the color bleeding. They are not dark blue anymore, that for sure.

I like the towels, from Belk's or Penny's seem to last and hold up better than the Kohls towels.

I'd recommend the Martex commercial towels. For the price, they are an excellent weight and quality.

A total waste of money!!!! I bought some about 10 years ago and after washing & drying them about 10 times, they finally stopped shedding on your body. They have lasted well. I recently bought some hand towels to fill in an order and they are beyond terrible! They are like sandpaper and don't even act like a drying towel.
They are inconsistent, depending on where they are made, I suppose. Anyway, these will be relegated to the garage bin and won't buy any more. They are marked as $7.99 which as we know is more like $3.99, but not even worth 1 penny to me. Can't even imagine how they can help but soften some with fabric softener and dryer, but they don't.

Go to Costco. They have the BEST towels, and they're frequently on sale for $5. Normal price is like $8. They're HUGE and fluffy.

I like the Vera Wang towels at Kohls. They are very thick and fluffy. Sure they shed a bit for the first week or so and they didn't absorb much until after the 2nd washing. After that, they're awesome. :cloud9: I'm on my 3rd or 4th round of buying those towels and I still love them. Even just drying my hands on them spoils me so that my regular kitchen towels feel like sandpaper. I wouldn't recommend them in any color except white if you have family members that use benzoyl peroxide on their skin.

I can't speak for the current quality, but when I got married 18 years ago I bought the big one towels from Kohl's and probably about half of them are still in my closet. No frayed edges, no holes.

That's true, as I said above the older ones have lasted, but the newer ones are trash - quality for the hand towels are non existent, but prices are up! :(

I bought some but thought they were too rough (I returned them before I tried them, so I don’t know if they get softer with washing). I ended up buying the Lauren Conrad towels. More expensive, but they feel plush and soft.

I hope they are good. I bought The Big One 12 piece set (4 bath, 4 hand, 4 washcloths) for $19something last night with the BF sale and a code. DS17 is going to college next year, so figured might as well. I’m not sure he’s so picky so hopefully they’ll be fine.

The PPs are right, the newer ones are garbage. They aren't as absorbent and don't seem to hold up well. I've had better luck with the ones for Sam's Club.
