Hello all. My name is Kogo Shuko, although some call me Lynne, for some strange reason. People like my boss, my mother, and bankers. But what do they know? In the online verse, Im known as Kogo to those who know me, and Kogo Shuko to those who do not know me. Im from Canada, so I guess I say eh a lot. Bear with me.
This is my first Trip Report so bear with me!
Interestingly enough, this Trip Report really started years ago when I first took this online handle. Because if I hadnt assumed this identity and joined another message board all those years ago, I wouldnt be going to Florida every year.
As you may guess, just like many others, I have been to Disney before. In fact, in the past three years I have been to Florida five times. I didnt necessarily go to Disney each time, but I certainly can say Ive been to Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom enough times that I can navigate my way to my favourite rides without needing a map.
I dont want to regale you with my online history, but I would like to point out that I go to Florida to visit with my friend Carol, someone who I had initially met on a message board smaller than this one, but still just as dedicated to its own topic. It started off as an online friendship but quickly blossomed into the real thing when I made the trip to Florida with nothing but an address and the knowledge that my friend was a good 30 years older than me.
She may be my mothers age, but she enjoys the same things as me, and that means we both enjoy going to amusement parks, seeing the world, and learning something new each time we see each other. I guess you could say Carol is my second mother.
All this to say Ive yet again gone to visit her, only this time Im a member of the Dis Boards. And its about time, I suppose. All things considering.
So will you join me on my trip to Disney? Ill only have gone for three days (four if you include touring the resorts), but there was quite a bit of planning surrounding not only the rest of my trip, but those three days spent at the Happiest Place on Earth. I brought my Canon Rebel with me this time. That was sort of a game changer for me. The past few times I had been to Disney, I hadnt really removed my camera from my bag very often. But with a fancy new camera, the possibilities of photography opportunities became endless
The majority of this trip report will be placed on my blog. So for those of you who are interested in reading about Gypsy Vanner horses, searching for seashells in Sanibel, and stuffing myself with shrimp at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, please visit me at http://kogoshuko.wordpress.com
Be sure to leave me comments if you like what you read and see.
If those things don't interest you, and you're here because Disney is the most amazing thing in the world, read on fellow Diser. For I have a few things to say about my trip.
