Know what would be cool? If we could live at Disney! - PTR - !PHOTO HEAVY! COMPLETE!

How big is your DD?If she does not fit the stroller you bought she might if one of my kids outgrown manual chairs.

She is at the 50lbs mark and is just under 44 inches tall. Hoping to hit 44 within 43 days, but if not we still will have fun!

She is *very* solid.

This makes me want to add baby photos! Next post will be some DD pictures through the years! :lovestruc

Sounds like she will fit your stroller but if not we have a chair that will fit.

Oh I like baby pictures.

Okay, so I am sick and not feeling well and can't sleep due to the coughing. So, may as well show off some more photos!

DD through the years!

This is Me and DD the day she was born! Story of her birth day: my blood pressure was starting to creep so they had us come in for a non-stress test. non-stress? HAH! and it is doubly funny because me and DP were joking how fitting it would be if DD was born that day, as my mother's bday is 7/7, mine is 6/6 and that day was 3/3. Anyway, they didn't like how little she was moving, so they admitted me and ordered a ultrasound panel. The whole time the tech was saying, 'that is a big baby! oh my, this is a big baby! let me just see... *uses the machine to measure the belly length* oh my goodness that is a BIG baby!'
Get done with that, within 20 min the doctor was in the room saying that my kid was due in 45 min. How is THAT for non-stress? :lmao: Ended up in a panic attack so bad the doctor had to run back into the room and tell me that they were going to use general rather than local... Waiting until they were ready to cut before putting me out. The BP that I last remember seeing before so panicked as to not have memory was 178/109... and it was still climbing. So yes, missed the first hour of my baby's life, but better than having a heart attack and missing her whole life. :thumbsup2

oh, and for the record my mini-me was born at 10lbs 1oz and 20 inches long.

makingfaces.jpg

My little Buddah baby drank down 1.5oz bottle min's after her birth! She was drinking down 3oz at a time before we left the hospital! (3 days old)

This is her at about a month old:

be2c1bdc.jpg

Outside of being extremely gassy (Doctor said she had 5x the normal amount in her system.), and having a sinus infection (at 16 days OLD! :guilty: and a second one at month and half, along with the flu.), She was a very happy and smiley and 'talkative' girl. (would coo/makes sounds at you all day.)

She graduated to food (plus formula still) at 3 months (per doctors approval, My girl was an EATER!)

DSC00093.jpg

Of course at 2 months is when we had our worse 'medical scare'. She ended up with a fairly high fever and we ended up taking her to the ER.. were they ended up flight for life-ing her to another hospital that had a PICU. They were worried about meningitis. Spinal tap and blood draws and a day or two later and they said it is just a really really bad viral infection. :confused3 One really good thing about this is that the gas thing and the chronic tossing up thing was solved.. yay for meds for GERD (she out grew it.)

6 months old:

DSC00012.jpg

according to my mother DD was saying gampa at 3 and a half months, hun-gee by 5 months. and stringing the two together by 6 months. I remember her saying hung-ee really really early. although her offical first word was HI! I remember her standing in her crib yelling Hi! Hi! over and over like 'hello come get me now! hello, hello anyone out there!?!?'

These things aside, she really didn't talk. She was fairly quiet, would squeal and make noise, but not really talking, or 'true' babbling. No playing with sounds like ma ma ma or da da da.. just squeals. The first time I can think of real talking from her is 3 years old. :confused3 but I have horrible memory and not enough video of her. Gross motor wise she was crawling by 7 months, after 2 months of wiggling and rolling around, and walking by one year.

First real road trip: (11 months)

DSC00053.jpg

yes she is not rear-facing. :scared1: She was too heavy for ANY rear facing seat, everyone (doctors, police, anyone we talked to) agreed it was safer for her to be forward facing at this point than to use a seat that isn't made for her weight. (I can't remember it, but trust me it wasn't a mere 1lb or two.)

In hind sight, I have to wonder how many other 1 year olds wipe their own mouth after every bite... early signs of SPD? :confused3

Oh, and for those vampire fans out there:

Okay, next posting will be only one or two per year of age I swear!

I just love the pics of your DD as a baby. She is so cute and I just want to pinch those big pudgy checks.

Oh, and can you believe we have another thing in common (it's starting to get a little erie) my 2nd son was born weighing 10lbs 14ozs. I remember them taking him out of the room one night (couldn't take care of him that first night due to c-section) and when he came back he was wearing size 1 diapers. No new born diapers for him anymore. :lmao:

She is so cute!

Our youngest is over the age line for rear-facing but still is because she is small and light.

One of our friends has a DD the same age and we look a the differences and just laugh at folks who say we all started out within a pound or two of each other so we should be the same as adults if they looked at the diffences these two have always had they would not say that.

Youngest was under 4 lbs at birth and friends DD was 11 lbs at birth. Both were equally early but not not very early.

Our Foster son also liked a clean face as a little one he still wipes between bites of food. He hates to feel sticky.

Man, I can't tell you how hard it is not to post EVERY photo! :lmao:

I am so proud of my girl and am I sure it shows!

So pull out a snack and here are some more photos! popcorn::

About one and a half at a children's play museum. She was playing as a Vet, listing to the stuff cat's hearts and such.

She *really* didn't want to give up the scope when it was time to leave... I even debated buying her a real one for home!

aug 07, this is one of everyones top photo of DD's when asked.

3rd birthday, making faces for the camera!

Now this is from her first day of school! 3 year old pre-school! Not only was she not used to getting up that early, there was a lot of background stress going on in the house as my sister had just passed away. (Erica was 33. We miss you sis! :littleangel: ) so that explains the expression.

Starting school 2010 (this school year) She goes to both 4 year old headstart (same school as last year) then transfers to 4k in the afternoon. (transfered by bus by headstart after lunch).

217424_10150554460520584_663425583_18242381_2532986_n.jpg

Now, headstart/preschool does a screening every year and throughout the year for certain things. One of which is vision. first year they said that most kids just are too shy and can't do it, so when DD couldn't answer, they waved it off. 2ed year (this school year), DD said out right "I cannot see it" and yet, they (Nurse practitioner at our medical clinic here on the reservation) dismissed it as her being shy. I told them right then and there she wasn't being shy, you can tell she is not a shy kid and she is too serious about it to be joking, playacting shy or anything else than 100% honest. They still brushed it off. This made me mad  as this is not the first nor last time they have brushed something off. (in-toed so bad she would trip herself multiple times a day! by the time I forced a referral out of them the doc said not much hope for improvement as her bones are set and would need surgery to fix. we have had improvement with painful nighttime braces and wearing the shoes on the 'wrong' feet.) anyway, I got off track again! :rolleyes1

I called around on my own and found an eye doctor who has experence with younger children and wasn't just a cheap hole in the wall. (as in, places that I've had bad scripts from for myself.)

Turns out, she really COULDN'T see and her vision is worse than MINE! :sad2:

so here is her with her First pair of glasses, and it is her 4k school photo:

73650_118971971496225_100001502679473_137017_1123778_n.jpg

Well, I was worried about her breaking those, or losing them (as we were switching between my house and my mother's (who watches her while I go off to work at night), 2 schools etc. So I got a second pair for 88 bucks at walmart. (the frames were only 9 dollars!) These quickly became DD's favorite pair.

x-mas 2010:

Awesome! and I am glad you like them, :rotfl: I posted a lot of them!

It was claimed DD was 8lbs of cheeks, 2lbs attitude, and 1oz of the rest!

Oh jeese, it is a bit odd how much in common we have! :scared1: So, your kid was also one that skipped the newborn clothes? Diaperwise, they had to run to another part of the hospital to get her some, they didn't have any that fit in the nursery!

She is so cute!
Thanks! :goodvibes

and yeah, I laugh when people say things about size and how big or little they will be by birth wt. I mean, I know people who where tiny babies that grew into moose-sized, and others that were bowling ball headed like me, who are TINY. :confused3 Such is life!

so, as far as I can see it, even taking in account paying tips, I still 'earned' 4.19 and got two free meals. How can you NOT see that as a value? Yes, one day I will be rolling with food, but to me that is part of vacation! I WANT to eat till I pop! Then go pig out some more. Would I spend this much if it was OOP and not dining plan? no. Why not? because I would FORGET TO EAT. seriously, I went over 10 hours without feeding me and DD last year. I do not want to repeat that! Having set, already paid for ADR's prevent that and allow us to ENJOY everything. So, for those nay sayers out there thinking I am paying way too much, esp since I dont have money to 'spare' most the time anyway. You are WRONG. and now you have my math to prove it!

I'm in. Cannot wait to read the report. The deluxe plan works well for our family too, so we are fans. If you use it right, it will always save you money. It gives us the opportunity to eat things we otherwise might not. I gained 9 pounds last trip, so I amlost did pop. DH actually lost weight eating more than I did. Not fair.

I can't wait till we go! I am thinking of paying for internet while there, and trying to at least post an outline of my TR while there. can add the photos later if need be. Plus, I am an addict, so if I don't have my net I get a little weird. :hyper:

Might just do a few days of net, not every day. :confused3

oh and :welcome: !

9lbs on vacation doesn't count! :wizard: it is magic I swear! right? ::yes::

You know you got us hooked on her cute pictures.

I have to pick my pictures up tomarrow and start scanning them.

DH was a big baby, big kid and large average adult 6'.His best friend and he were the same size most of their childhoods then friend shot-up, his friend is 6'8".

So what are your Favorite things at Disney?

:hug:So sorry about the loss of your sister. Lost my little Brother a couple years ago(Brian age 34).I still miss him alot.

.....

So what are your Favorite things at Disney?

So my master plan worked did it!? Now you will *have* to read our TR just to get more photos of DD! ;)

My Favorite things? that is a great question! I love just the atmosphere. Even as a grown adult I can be a kid! I love 'little things' like how CM's are not just locals, but from everywhere around the states and the world! You really can meet some cool people at Disney that you never would come across in your daily life. The diversity is amazing! as for the 'big' things, I like Peter Pan. Like you didn't see that one coming? :lmao: I am basically a grown peter pan myself! I really really want to try to get on Haunted Manson. I remember I was scared of it as a kid, and have not gotten the chance to ride it as an adult. Since I have a gothic heart I think it would be the most fun ride for me on a personal level.

In all honesty, I can't really think of ONE favorite thing about Disney world. It ALL is my fav. The feeling, the people, the rides and shows, the FOOD... even riding the buses and boats are part of Disney and is the best.

:hug:So sorry about the loss of your sister. Lost my little Brother a couple years ago(Brian age 34).I still miss him alot.

I am sorry to hear about your brother  . I know for my sis it is really the best thing for her. Sounds almost cold doesn't it? Not if you knew her and her history. She is no longer in chronic pain. She had her first surgery at 10 months old, and my mother was told she wouldn't see 1, 2, 3.. eventually the doctors gave up on a 'death date'. She ended up wheelchair bound in her early 20's, had a kidney transplant, and finally said yes to a very persistent guy and was engaged way past the point of common law marriage. I said it that way because, he proposed the final time in the ICU post transplant. She claimed she only said yes due to the drugs. :lmao:

Anyway, she is looking out for us from heaven and we will see her again someday. :cloud9: :littleangel:

Your dd is adorable! I am envious of your DXDP. I really wanted to do ts but still have yet to get more than a few ADRs. Guess I should have started planning back in October like everyone else.

I think it really has to do with what ones you look at. I've had a fairly easy time with getting what I want outside of the super popular ones.

Cape may cafe (for breakfast) is super easy to get ressies for I have noticed. Liberty tree tavern had plenty open... lunches are easier to get than dinner, and for breakfasts, if you want in the park, look for later times, if you want at a resort try for RD time as most up that early try to go directly to the park. :confused3

I mean, I made my first ADR's in march. :confused3 Then again, I do have a much smaller party size than you. Just keep trying, you might get openings as you get closer and closer!

I understand the freedom from pain, I also was engaged to someone before DH who I should not have said yes too. He pushed when I was in the hospital and med levels were so high I said yes without really knowing that I said yes.We did not marry. My little Bother did not like him.

DH is such a better fit for me, he really brings out the best in me.My little Brother told me if I did not marry DH he wanted DH himself, yes we normally had the same taste in men.

Oh course your plan worked we will read your reports to see your cutie and of course to hear every detail of your fun.

Knowing my little Brothers love of Disney he and my BIL are likely working at Disneys Heaven location waiting for us to join their fun.

You didn't need to hook me with your precious DD, you had me with Z-B.:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Can I just tell you that your DD has the most gorgous hair. Loving it.

 Okay then, I'll bring a brush and pony tails and you can play with it while we wait for our table.. ;) (yes, this is dad getting out of having to attempt to put her hair up. I really can't make a neat pony tail even. :guilty: )

Either way, I know we will have fun! I can't wait!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:   :yay: :yay: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I am in. I'll be missing doing my DD hair while I am away so I will love doing up your DD's hair. They have such diffrent hair though that it will be strange. My dd's hair is very curly, so even though it is getting long, it still looks short. Plus if you notice how short her hair was in my PTR during our last trip, it was because my DS decdided to give her a haircut. Luckily curly hair can hide a mutitude of sins.:lmao:

Just showed my DD your DD's pictures and she can't wait to meet her.:thumbsup2

I'm in too! Your daughter is beautiful & I love her glasses!

My baby (now 8) was 9 lb, 3oz. He was also 21". And I am all of 61"! My bp also led to csection!

We (DH, DS & I) go down in 12 days but I'd love to take my sister for gay days sometime! I think she'd love it! Is it always first wk of June?

Hopefully we can meet on Saturday... I should txt or call you tomarrow. (i'd call right now but not knowing your schedule this may be too late for a call.) maybe even Friday evening? That might be easier on you. :confused3 Should be hitting the IL border around 4pm on friday.

Thanks! Wow, Was he a Gestational diabetes baby too? Or do you just naturally go them big?

12 days!?! AWESOME! I hope you are doing a trip report!

The main part of gay days is always the first Saturday of June (We go to Magic Kingdom that day). If you *ever* want to see the schedule of events going on for Gay days just check out www.gaydays.com . Not everyone goes to all the events, some of us just go to the parks, and not always to the parks scheduled. (like I am only going to the right park on the right day for MK on sat. otherwise I just have my own schedule.)

Some people think Gay days is like a local pride fest but that isnt it. you CAN see things like that at the off-property parties, but Disney wise, you wouldn't really tell if it wasn't for the sea of red shirts. :confused3 oh, and more guys holding hands than 'usual'
