FYI, buy.com is currently running a deal for the Kinston 2GB SD card. Reg price $53.95 with a $49 mail-in rebate making the final price $4.95. I believe the limit is 2 per household, but for that kind of price,,,, WOW

Thought this was too good to not pass along to others.

I believe it expires 3/24/07.

Hey Kyle - thanks for the 411!!!

I checked out your pins! Wasn't it fun cataloging them - took me a good part of an evening! Did you check out ours (Tara's). I actually did two - one with all our pins and one that is just the subset of her chip and dale pins. That collection is chipdalefanpins

Kyle,

That is a GREAT deal! Thanks. Just a note that Kingston is not so good with their rebates. Actually, most companies aren't, but Kingston really really tried to tell me that I had not sent in the correct information. Fortunately, I had a copy of EVERYTHING that I sent them (including the envelope I sent it in). I had to give it to them in my VERY dissatisfied voice and they eventually paid out (I had to yell at them). I have this problem with most rebate companies though, so it probably isn't just a Kingston thing. At that end price, I may just give one a try. I'm sure they will be happy to see my name in the rebate dept again!

I agree on the rebate thing. I have been burned before. The only ones that I have not had problems with are the pc bundle purchase ones.

I always make photocopies of everything and mail it certified so I have proof that it was delivered.

Took me a while to find them all. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to find some, but I did end up getting them all. Its a great site, but could use some changes to make it easier to get back to your collection after searching and a few other things. I like it though. It was fun (and lengthy) finding them. It got a bit easier after finding a shortcut to find specific pins.

I did check out your pins, thats where I got the idea from. Luckily for me I don't live as close as you so I don't get as much opportunity to spend money on pins (though I did just buy a Goofy Photographer Pin on ebay). DW would not be happy if I went as often as you beause each trip I'd buy like 10 pins. I'll check out your other collection as well.

As for the topic at hand, personally I'm not big on doing rebates. One of the biggest reasons I do my shopping online. You can find things for just about the same price in local stores, but there are more often than not rebates in volved.

This particular one I thought was too good to not let others know about though. I'm not going to get any as over the last 2-3 weeks I've picked up 3 additional SD cards totalling 5GB, giving me an overall total of 10GB.

I hope it works out for those that did get 1 or 2.

thank you so much! now that i bought my new camera today i needed something that would hold tons of pictures!

yay! :thumbsup2

My hubby bought a camera memory card, and a thumb drive, and we are still fighting for the rebate....they keep giving him a different excuse. Just be careful.

It really pays to make a copy of the paperwork (or scan it in, which is what I do, then delete it once I get the rebate.)

A couple months ago, I got wondering about a $100 rebate on a video card, and called the company. They gave me a number to fax the stuff do and they shipped me a rebate the next day. I think it was the company itself doing the rebate, so you might not get quite such a quick response on other places.

But still... I sent one in recently and didn't realize that I sent the wrong rebate form - it was one of those where there was one rebate that ended and an identical rebate that started the next day... I was able to email them about it, then email copies of the correct rebate and the scanned UPC and receipt, and hopefully I'll be getting that one soon.
