King room request at Pop

We have only had minimal luck getting our room requests at WDW resorts. So I'm just curious, without previously requesting a king room at Pop, has anyone had any luck asking about available king rooms at check in? It's no big deal if we do not get one, so if they say none are available, I will happily take whatever room they want to give me. I'm just curious if anyone has waited until check in to request a king, and has actually had it work.

both at pop and at all star sports, but i made the request over the phone before we arrived. we got the request both times. i bet if you're just 2 people you have a better chance at it, as anyone with more than 2 cannot be assigned a king room.

We were there with another couple in the fall and we had phoned in our request for a King and got it. They asked when they checked in and didn't get it. The guy who checked us in said that King beds are always requested at POP and are very hard to come by.

We had the request for the king bed put on our reservation last time and got it. And even though we checked in kind of early, the only ones remaining were HA.

If you really want one, OP, better to call and have it added to your ressie than take a chance and not get one by trying to request it once you arrive.

call and request, we have gotton our king room everytime we have put in for one. Last time we had to wait a few hour, but we just gave them our bags and headed to mk, they sent a text to us when the room was ready, so easy!!

Of the times I wanted a king bed, I've called and requested it beforehand. And I've gotten it all but once which was no big deal. It doesn't hurt to have the request in there so I think you should take the time to do that. You said it doesn't matter if you do or don't get it so what's the harm?

And when I have requested the king bed, I've gone with the assumption I'm not getting it. So when I do, I'm very happy. When I didn't, I was fine.
