King Beds upcharge?

Just got off the phone with a disney CM. She stated "if I wanted to have a king bed room it will cost more". Is this true? Is there an upcharge?

Yes and no.

The only way to actually book a room with a King bed is to book one of the Moderate resorts; CBR POR or POFQ. And at the Moderates, a King bed is $25 more per night than a standard room.

At all other resorts, a King bed is just a request and there is no nightly upcharge for it.

There is if you are booking it as a reservable category at a moderate resort.
