My girls have Kindle Fire's, and I just subscribed to Amazon Prime. Is there a large selection of movies to stream, and how is this done? How about borrowing books? My friend has a Nook, and is trying to decide on upgrading to the Nook Tablet, but it seems like everyone else is doing the Kindle route. Which one is best? What are the differences? Thanks.

There is a list of devices on what will work with amazon prime movie selection. Similar to netflix. Not all devices are supported though.

As for Nook vs Kindle, i think at the end, Kindle will win the battle. I think amazon has a better backbone than Barnes and Nobles. i think B&N will be the next Borders since all they do i sell books at retail prices which I'm pretty sure won't last very long. But in terms of specs, I'm not too clear about it.

you cant get a good answer when you ask a question like this, everyone will say the one the own is the better one

Very easy to stream movies and borrow books. In the books area there is a tab that says library (or something like that). Tap that tab and you will have the list of all the books that are available for borrowing. You can borrow one book per month. If you get a book and read it within a few days, you sill have to wait until the next month.

Streaming movies is super easy.
