I was trying to find someplace closer to go next year so that we wouldn't have to fly. I found the Inn at Bay Harbour (We are in Michigan) in the 2008-2009 member getaways book. It looked ideal for us. Well, I called and it is no longer offered. Boo! Anyone ever tried the Boyne Mountain resort here in Michigan?

Are you trying for a summer week at Boyne? Boyne resorts are fractionals and from my long research(I'm in NW OH) in buying something up North, I doubt if any owner would deposit a summer week. They use them or rent them for $2500+.

I've seen early June units at the Deer Lake section show up on II

Actually I just bought a fixed week 32 at the Hemlock section(Bluegreen manages a few of those units) off ebay 2 weeks ago. Finally after years of looking. It trades over at RCI.

We usually head over to Glen Arbor. Tamarack Lodge? over in Traverse City looks nice, but it's a fractional and I see really off weeks show up on II.

That is a real bummer regarding Bay Harbour MI. We stayed in that particular resort in 2005 and loved it. It was so beautiful and a nice drive to Traverse City or further up north to the Mackinaw Island. I am really sorry to hear that they are no longer on the II list. Here in the Midwest it seems tough to find an II close that does not require a flight to get there.

My only guess is that the Bay Harbour was limited on availability so they pulled it from the Disney list. After staying there I would think it was not removed due to bad reviews....:confused3

It's owned by Boyne and used to be run by a Marriott company. It's still showing up on II's online directory.

Yes, I thought it was still available until I called member services. We are very flexible as far as when we go. I guess I will just have to keep an eye out. Thanks!!

I think the traverse city Cherry festival is coming up soon. My wife and I did it last year and we had a GREAT time. Even if its only for a long weekend. I was pretty cheap other then the room if you want to stay downtown area.

Thanks! I am looking for next year, so I will check out the cherry festival.
