He just doesn't... sniff sniff ... love us anymore, I guess.

I had called in April regarding an add-on to our existing BWV points, and he basically "put me off" until he returned from his next cruise in late May. He gave me the "option" of calling MS and buying the points sans him, however... and that's what I did. Called 'em up, bought my points, done deal. But he never called me (like he SAID he would, on May 13th...and I waited for his call, but it never came... I feel so... cheap... and used.)

And when we signed on the dotted lines and then got our contract and lovely lithograph (which, I should add, was something he never sent with our FIRST purchase...), there was no mention from or of him anywhere.

Is it me? Is it my deodorant? I think I want a new guide. I'm just not feelin' the love here.

Who is your guide? Sounds like you might have the same one we do...

We have not laid eyes on him since we bought our original points in 1993, even though we have added on four times and have specifically asked to see him when we've gone in to sign the papers!

We also never got anything from him other than the original tote bag. Others got a second (zippered?) tote bag or lithos with their add ons, but not us! I even asked him once why some people get them and we didn't. I don't remember his response.

I'm pretty sure we're done adding on. But if we ever decide to do it again, I think we'll ask for another guide too.
;)

I think they maybe switch the way they have guides go on the cruises. It is kind of irritating to call and be prime to do an add on and get a ho-hum response because your guide isn't there. DVC should know you have to get people in while they're hot before they change their minds.

I'm just looking at it from a business perspective.

I'm not sure they can have guides that only work the cruises. Wouldn't that change how that particular guide is paid or something with him or her working on the waters as opposed to working in Orlando?

Do you feel like sharing your guides initials.

Why not ask for a new guide. Anyone who owns DVC has handed over enough money that I believe they are entitled to ask for a different guide if they so desire.

I think you must have the same guide we do. We never could get him to return calls and he's actually not very nice.

There is a chance he may not even be there anymore. ;) My original guide went on to bigger and better Disney things long ago. I had another guide who handled an add-on for me way back and was then my guide. When I called to ask some questions when BCV was opening I discovered I had another guide....one who never bothered to return the phone call and hasn't been heard from since.

They are salespeople, not our buddies. Some of them take a special interest in people and some of them are very good salespeople who "sell" you even when you think they are just your pals. Others....all business. If you want to buy, they'll sell but they don't necessarily spread the love.
