The PP is saying that in the absence of your "free dining" you would likely be able to find a room discount.
We have priced it out and the free dinning is a better deal cost wise for use

I was in a somewhat slightly similar situation a few years ago.
I was laid off within my 45 days window to cancel. I couldn't cancel if I wanted to without losing the money. I could have probably arranged something to defer and apply it to a future trip but...
I knew I'd be back to work, the question was how long and how longer before I'd actually see income.
As it stood, I figured going was a good idea, since I was off anyway, lol.
We had a great trip, possibly our best one. It was odd eating like kings and queens for that week we were there since we had the DDxP.
Realistically how long will your husband be off? Is your trip actually paid for or it is on a credit card? Is there debt you could be paying instead to easy the down time?
In any case, the line of work I do and when I would actually see income from it (being independent again) took many, many months. Actually 7 months before I saw anything resembling a regular check but we were back at Disney within 17 months of that trip.
When a window closes a door opens and I'm glad to be working for myself again.
Hopefully your husband can arise from this in an even better position than before.
Good luck to you OP.
Because the OP lied before about having a child with cancer and asking for donations.
And she always started bogus threads on Cruise Critic until a fellow DISer called her out on Cruise Critic regarding her bogus posts on DIS and her requests for donations for a child who wasn't ill.
For her kids' sake, if she does have kids, I hope they make it to WDW someday.

What kind of bogus threads? I find that board to be much "stiffer" about what they will allow to be discussed; and the mods are very heavy-handed with the "poof" button. There's rarely much human drama beyond tipping debates and "how formal is formal night". Not nearly as much potential to spin a good yarn as here on the DIS.

Everything else aside, sometimes free dining is the better deal, sometimes it isn't.
I'm a math teacher, so I'm good with numbers. I did the math a few years ago. We had a 40% PIN. For my family of 5 staying at the Poly, it was something like a $76 difference between the two.
Had we been staying at a value, FD would have been the clear better deal.

Google is your friend. And the Internet memory is loooong!
Hmmm, that was an eye opening Google search.
Indeed. This individual has been scamming for years.
That was a blast from the past! So many DISers who are long gone and sorely missed.Oh, there's plenty of potential - you must not spend much time on the community board. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=644328
I've never in my life had a job that would not allow me to take a pre-planned trip simply because it was close to my starting date
