Kim's new and improved life journal!

:thumbsup2 Nice job getting out there for TWO 3 milers in the past few days. Great job and a nice pace too :).

I hope you are having a nice Labor Day Weekend :). Enjoy this beautiful weather we're having here in New Jersey :sunny:.

Good luck with the week ahead. I know for us here the kids go back to school on Wednesday. Lots of excitement surrounding that of course! :goodvibes

Take care....keep up the good work, you're really on a roll girl!

Hi Kim,

Great job with the second 3 mile run for September. There is no doubt that you will acheive your Sept. goal. :thumbsup2

Any big plans for today? Do the kids start back to school?

Have a good one,
Beth

helloooooo :)

you need to be online when i am, just so you know! i miss the chatting--better get on here before end up at the door step!!

Hiya Kim!

Nice to see you are on a roll there with the runs!! Something tells me you are gonna kick September's goal in the buns ;) Hope the weekend has been funs...'cause that summer break is all but done'z.

LOL (pathetic, I know...)

Have a great evening and good job with the running!

Hey guys. Happy (almost over) Labor Day. :thumbsup2 This weekend has definitely been busy and fun. We bought the kids new bikes on Saturday and had them out there riding them yesterday (still trying to get DD8 to ride on her own, and then we'll take off DS5's training wheels). We had a bbq yesterday and today. So we're all exhausted and ready for the week ahead.

The kids don't start school until Thursday, and have 1/2 days Thurs & Fri. DS is going into 1st grade, and has an orientation on Wed afternoon, since he's starting at a new school (same as DD's - 1st through 6th). DD is going into 3rd and is more excited about wearing her new clothes than anything. I'm excited to get back into the routine of school/homework/sports, etc. This summer was nuts and the kids were SUPER hyper at home after running amuck all day at camp.

Scott - Thanks for the rhymz. They were dope. :cool1: :rotfl: You got mad skillz.

I'm feeling good about getting two nice runs in this long weekend. As of now, my plan is to walk a day or two, and hit the gym a day or two this week. With going away on work travel next week, there may not be ANY lunch breaks this week. :sad2: But here's hoping....

Have a great week, everyone. And thanks as always for the continued support.

Mornin' Kim :)
Your energy level never ceases to amaze me!!
Can ya send some my way today?

Hope you get some lunch breaks Kim!
Well done for getting the two 3 mile runs in so soon this month - your an inspiration :)

Hi Kim,

You are kicking that Sept. goal to the curb woman!!! Look at you. 7.5/35.:cool1: :cool1: I hope you get a chance to have those lunch breaks. Don't you just hate the 1/2 days at school? I would much rather they either go all day or not at all.

Keep up the great work!
Beth

Hey guys! Yes, I was able to sneak out for a walk at lunch. Good thing it was hot outside, so I wasn't tempted to stay out too long. :rolleyes1 I was able to do 1.5 miles and my legs were happy to be movin'! :goodvibes

Not sure when my next run will be, as it won't be tomorrow (have to be AT work at 7am! ) But I'll get it in soon! :thumbsup2

You are off to a great start in September, Kim!:thumbsup2 Keep up the good work!:cheer2:

Hope you get your lunch breaks this week....:goodvibes

I have fallen off my traing big time, and I am so inspiried by you and your challenges for Aug and now for Sept. I might just have to copy you :lmao: I think the thing I need to get through my thick skull is that something is better than nothing, and even shorter distances DO add up in the end.

You are awesome! :cheer2:

I think the thing I need to get through my thick skull is that something is better than nothing, and even shorter distances DO add up in the end.

That's ABSOLUTELY right, Beki! :thumbsup2 Every little bit adds up. Look at me and my little 2 mile runs or 1.5 mile walks. :rolleyes1

Speaking of 2 milers....I actually got up and ran this morning before work/school. :woohoo: Since DH and I were putting the kids on the bus & going in to work a little late, I had the time to spare this morning. :thumbsup2 I didn't even take a watch, let alone my Garmin...so I'm proud of myself for that. I did my tried & true 2 mile route and was back home and inside stretching around 25 minutes after I left the house.

My legs are telling me now that I may have overdone the run increase this week. They don't hurt, they are just letting me know that they aren't exactly thrilled with me.

Take care, all and I'll be back with some back to school pics in a bit.

Hi Kim,

Your kids are beautiful. Kate has the same outfit, but the first day of school calls for a dress.

Are you gearing up for your trip?

Hope all is well.
Beth

Hey buddy-
so nice to talk to ya on the phone yesterday! how was the cheer competitiion?

Hope you are having a good weekend..pick a day soon to do somethng!

Hi Kim,

Every time I look at that signature of yours, that number just keeps climbing. WTG!:cheer2:

I hope you are having a great weekend.

Take care,
Beth

Hey all. Unfortunately, no runs for me this weekend. :guilty: Late Thursday night I began a head cold/sore throat that is only getting worse. I did get some medication from my doctor, since I am going on travel for work -leaving tomorrow. :headache: Fortunately, I'm driving to DC and not flying anywhere, as I don't think my head could take it.

I'm extremely disappointed, because the good jump start I got on my run/walking challenge is dwindling, but I am bringing my workout clothes and fully plan on getting on the TM while I'm away, even if it's just for walks.

If you have any, send some PD my way so that this congestion will leave.

As long as everything runs smoothly, I should be able to connect from my hotel room and post updates.

Take care, and have a GREAT week!

Kim,
There is no help for getting sick. I hope you feel better and am glad it's a road trip for you. I'm sure you'll find a way to work in a workout or two and like you say, it all adds up. I hope the hotel internet works for you!

Congratulations on the first day of school! Your kids look really excited for school! We were rushing so fast on the first day that I didn't actually get any pictures. :sad2:
